Things like hull/rig reps, cannons should allow players to gain even a little crafting exp to help them move forward. For now the only way to increase your labour hours wallet is building not so cheap shipiard and smashing biggest ship you can day and night. I like the idea of being dedicated to crafting gives you an edge but being the only way is silly. If i remember right Rum used do grant exp when procesed from Sugar. If it was that much exploited can't it be somchow limited? Let's say something achivment related: Craft 10 000 rum to get 200 craft exp. TL;DR Grant new players ability to increase LH wallet with other ways that just shipyard. Edited January 26, 2020 by Atimk 1

Why would crafting repairs make you better at crafting ships? Problem is that craft level is tied to higher labor hours. Ship crafting level and labor hours level should be separated. 2

That is an interesting point, could be a nice add to the Seasoned Sheed if could also improve the wallet of the labor hours,since crafting seasoned woods is very expensive like craft a 4 rate more or less 1
Yoha Posted January 30, 2020 Posted January 30, 2020 I agree that the issue with crafting xp is that the LH wallet size is determined by crafting level. The easy solution would be to make the LH wallet proportional to the player's rank. 1
