Vonatar Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 Hey devs! Since having personal flags or banners, other than those provided by the DLC, might be impossible, cause the difficulty to implement the high variety of choices by players wanting personal stendarts, wouldnt it be possible to simply add personal names on the stern space of the ship? With maybe a coupe of fonts to choose from and a limited number of charachters. 2
Macjimm Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 Perhaps this thread could be merged with the other that suggested this. Seems that players would likely choose silly, or offensive, names (like their character names). As a compromise, it would be helpful if ships could be named clientside only. The name should appear on the Navy List of the Port UI and the Fleet screen of the OW UI. 2
Yoha Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 One way to prevent most offensive names would be to allow only a predetermined amount of real words to be used for making ship names. To accomplish this the devs would need to load a dictionary of words and eliminate certain words from the selection. 2
Farrago Posted January 23, 2020 Posted January 23, 2020 It’s been suggested over and over including the option to limit it to a preapproved list of names. As far as I know, it has never been addressed by the devs. This ability would make a hell of a DLC. 2
