Chapman Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Hello, so I got my key and installed the game! When I try to run it, it says I have shader model 4 and I should have 5 to run the game. But the always reliable internet tells that if one has directX 11 it should have shader model 5 "included". Can I upgrade my shader model someway other than buy a new video card? Thanks!

Elpetty Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 happens to me the same thing we have to wait to improve the game engine !! to wait, to put it for cards that have the shader 4
DanielCoffey Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 According to some old pages from 2008, the Radeon 4600 family seem to be DX10.1 cards with shader model 4.1 support only. The Radeon 5xxx family (and newer) appears to be the minimum for shader model 5.
Prater Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Just because your dxdiag says you have directx11 that doesn't mean your video card supports it. In the general discussion there is a topic A short guide for novices that has a part that talks about video cards.
Chapman Posted February 1, 2015 Author Posted February 1, 2015 Aah, well then I need to do some upgrades, thank you for the answers. Not going to upgrade in some time though, so I have to stay in the audience for now.
