I know raider fleets have a good range of travel within their capital regions.

However, I was tagged by a Danish raider fleet at the tip of "India" between Sale-Trou and Barahona and was wondering if this is normal? As if it is it's seems the range on these fleets may be too great as where I was tagged it was 300k distance from Christiansted. @admin Just seeking clarification on if this is normal or by some chance this might be a bug?

Screenshots of the fleet and my location.

If this is in the wrong location, I do apologize and would move it if necessary.

How far will they chase you if they "lock on"?

Not 100% sure about that. But in this instance I was sailing from the Les Cayes area back to La Mona, and they were coming from the East while I was coming from the West so in other words we ran into each other. I clicked on them to see what they were and by the time I turned to avoid them they had already launched the tag.

I know the admin described them as capital protectors and I'm all for that. But in this instance they were not chasing me and where they tagged me at it seems their range is a lot further than anything described so far and may be too much.

Wasn't an issue for me since I was in an Endymion, but this could be a major issue for traders as they have little to no chance of escaping one of these fleets, especially in areas that are no where near capitals which traders avoid for this very reason.

300 k is really extreme 😂

Its quite common to get tagged by privateer fleets south of a line baracoa-st. Nics ... allthough sometimes they Stop chasing some good distance north of this line ... maybe they hunt you only for a given time and turn then ...

Apparently they can go beyond their normal operation range if they are chasing someone and they don't return to their normal area that quickly. This is beyond goofy though.
