frigate patrol zone

What I thought was a simple question but the devs can't answer if they the devs put a PZ in an Frigate zone how can I see on the map if the PZ is in a Frigate zone. And if these Frigate zone are static were are they, I can't see them on the map

I am not entirely sure what you want. I guess you mean the patrol zone. If you press m you can see the map. The white circle is the patrol zone.  If you drive or swim on the open world you will see if you enter the patrol zone. On your compass an "p" will appear. If you drive deeper into the middle center next to the "p" an "sp" will appear.  The p circle means the battle is open for 20 minutes (as far as I know there is no Br lock to keep things "balance"). So people can join in that time and the zone will start shrinking after some time. Like a battle royal thing. The sp zone on the other hand will include an 1vs1. Nobody can join.      We'll I guess you will see on your journal  what rank you are allowed to bring to the pz. If you are higher than that an normal ow battle will be created instead of an patrol zone battle.   Otherwise just ask Ingame what rnak the pz today is. 

I am not sure what you mean with the frigate zone. But could be you need to kill frigates for a mission. Well these zones doesn't exist because every frigate in open world counts. Now you have to see if it's an pvp frigate kill mission or an pve kill mission.

This is not true. Patrol zone has the same rules of engagement as open world since September.

Well I would guess he meant patrol zone with frigate level (5th rate) limit. Most of them are either shallow water or no limit at all. Which means everybody and their dogs runs gifted Oceans. So you cant have any fun in 5th rate (deep water frigates)

This will be a problem as long as we don't have real water depth added. I hope the devs will implement it.

There is one patrol zone location per day, and they are on a set daily rotation. You can see where it is on any given day by looking at your map for a large circle with a smaller circle inside. The frigate patrol zones are southwest of la mona and north of nippes. In these two you can only bring ships rated 7th to 4th. The Shroud Cay and Deadmans cay patrol zones are restricted 7th rates up to certain 5th rates and are in shallow waters (light blue water on map), the only usable frigates in the two shallow water pzs (5th rates) are surprises, rennomees, hercules and (not sure if 5th rate or 6th) pandora. If you tag someone in these  zones with a ship that is not rated for that patrol zone, the battle will be a regular ow battle and dmg will not count toward pz reward. You can bring frigates to the tumbado, aves, and la tortue patrol zones but you will most likely encounter much larger ships of the line as there are no rate restrictions in those. The wording of your question is a little confusing so idk if this helps.
