Georg Fromm Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 (edited) Hello Devs, I think the decision to make the trade more attractive again and to give a not beloved group of players (Traders, not only PvP Lover) some employment, has already proved to be correct. Maybe you could also think about further additions in the field of business and trade in the future Edited December 9, 2019 by Georg Fromm 8
Captain Cid Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 Don't want to destroy your dreams of the trading community but imo in best case 50 traders came back + their 100 Alts. 100 came back cause of the new woods and the grind for it + another 200 Alts 😁 3
z4ys Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 A target is a target I dont care if alt or main. 3
Corona Lisa Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 For sure it has nothing to do with the recent steam sale...
erelkivtuadrater Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 (edited) of course some are alts, some are returning players, but i've recognized quite a few new players i've never seen in the pirate nation. I think now that admin finally done some changes that gets the population grow he will see that better pve, econ and trading content indirectly gives more pvp content #makepiratespiratesagain Edited December 9, 2019 by erelkivtuadrater 1

Yes there are New/returning Alts as well, but so what. More ships at sea equals more targets. 1
Mouth of Sauron Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 The key is keeping those 900 players in the game interested for more than a month or 2. Historically NA has not. 5

It will be deployed very soon. ..... But the online will fall and some day in a couple of years will fall to 500, and then to 300 and then to 100, and to 0. Do not worry - by then the new game will be ready. 8
Ferdinand de LaSalle Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 Well i think the new trade System brought the upwind in the Player population. I also think that this new wood system will raise the gap between a very few, very good organised clans/players and all the rest. So i am divided about the success. First impressions of these monster ships says, they are pretty unbeatable, so again a tribute to the priviliged, very nervous and easily bored player Group. Ferdinand

Or do you really "play short range"? i.e. not interested of long the development of the game (like Eve)..
Ferdinand de LaSalle Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 well this is world of today, the next game is the best game. I think this game has still a lot of potential

I am pretty sure I saw post from you saying a main problem was new player stopped even before they become captains. Yes. And @Angus MacDuff is absolutely correct. You are too analytical and pedantic. We do not twist your words, and will demand you to not do it too. A lot of new players stop before they became captains. And this happens in 1-3 days max. This is the area we are focused on now. As we said before. If the player played 1 month of Naval Action - perfect. If he played more awesome. We all know that if you played NA for 1 month you will probably play it more. This is not an issue we all should be looking at. 1 hour ago, Ferdinand de LaSalle said: well this is world of today, the next game is the best game. I think this game has still a lot of potential I have produced 5 games in Game Labs which went on to sell a lot of copies (NA was second and is just one of those games) and each one was better than a previous one. Its called learning by doing. 2

Some played at the end of 2013. 1
Never Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 Can't we all just be happy if there's 900 players instead of 600? Even if they are alts or some of them are. It at the very least means old players are even more active. There's no real negative. 3
Vonatar Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 More single players features would be cool, like the possibility to create various kind of battles, have preset battles a bit like in Ultimate General Civil War, or develop traits depending on the player careers, like blockade runner (a trader that often manage to evade attacks) or master hunter (player with high success rate in pvp).

Gregory Rainsborough Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 Alts can be killed too, I don't care who is sitting behind the screen. 1

Audacious Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 (edited) I would come back , but oceans still empty (no enemy NPCs for miles), no fun loot to grind and all this takes forever. -Add more enemy NPCs around friendly ports, -Add more loot, junk loot that can be sold for gold. -Increase world sailing speed. fox2run Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 I returned after release and found the game pretty good. But also destroyed by the latest patch where super-fleets engage you without any chance of escape. Meaning that its unplayable once again. Its hard to play Naval Action like this.
