Comes at a price for ship handling with such heavy bow. Bowsprite Durability + 70 % Bow Armor + 20 % Damage to side of enemy ship, depending on ramming speed, increased by factor 0,3 (?) Speed - 1,5 % Turnrate - 0, 5 % Blueprint needs: 1-3rd Rate - 50x iron, 20x coal, 10x liveoak logs - 5 tools - 1x Art of Ship Handling Book - 1000 Doubloons 4-5th Rate - 20x iron, 10x coal, 5x caguairan logs - 3 tools - 1x Art of Ship Handling Book - 500 Doubloons 6-7th Rate - 10x iron, 5x coal, 3x caguairan logs - 1x Art of Ship Handling Book . 200 Doubloons I love this one, but don't think requiring a multi-million dollar book is practical! Reinforcing the bowsprit is a fairly simple operation, comparatively... so the mod and it's components should drop at about the same frequency as the various rig refits, I'd think? Actually, it may ought to use the rig refit icon, so it becomes another choice in that slot? So perhaps the 'reinforced bowsprit' would require 5 of a new resource called 'extra spars' and an elite version with better stats could require a new book that drops with the same frequency as the other rig crafting books? 2
Hy. St.Beau de Toilette Posted December 4, 2019 Posted December 4, 2019 Drum Major / Tambour Major He stands for a military band you form on board of your ship. On small vessels that is only drum and pipes, on larger ships a band which not only plays marches when going into battle but also entertains the crew during voyage. Gives big morale boost of + 10 % when boarding for men being motivated by glorious music. Reduces enemy morale by intimidation - 3 %. Reduces a bit number of fighting men as they are busy with their music instruments instead: Grenades - 0,01 Muskets - 0.01 Boarding Cannons - 0.01 Melee - 0.01. Blueprint will ask for: 10 Languedoc Violins 10 Fine Leather, 5 Pino Ocote Logs, 5 Malabar Teak, 2 Ivory, 2 Bull Sharks (for their bones) for creating other instruments. 2000 Doubloons (hey musicians are artists and need pay). Raekur Posted December 4, 2019 Posted December 4, 2019 (edited) How about a upgrade or perk that increases the radius for looting. Currently have to be close enough for a crewman to literally jump from deck to deck. For instance: Longboats Loot Radius +.50 Oak x50 Hemp x50 Cotton Sails x1 If you want a penalty included then the maximum weight is 100 that can be retrieved without closing to the normal loot radius. Cooldown timer of 60 seconds to prevent spam usage to retrieve multiple small items. Clan GA Edited December 4, 2019 by Raekur 4
Angus MacDuff Posted December 4, 2019 Posted December 4, 2019 Not a mod, but a combat option; Captains had to make a choice before going into battle with what to do with their boats. The 3 options were: Keep the boats aboard. No effect on speed, but heavier casualties due to splinters. Tow the boats astern. Reduced splinter casualties, but a reduction in speed. Cast the boats adrift. Reduced splinter casualties and a slight speed increase, but unable to loot enemies unless alongside (actually touching the sinking ship). This could be selected well before entering battle or could be something you pick as the battle instance clock ticks down. 6

Tac Posted December 4, 2019 Posted December 4, 2019 Press Gang - Yes it’s back with a vengeance a permanent upgrade to break the hearts of all those landlubbers lazily sailing around with determined defender. Allows boarding with less crew for the saltiest of surprises... A few ways you can go with this either only to be used for pirate nation to give something different to those dastardly rats, only for pirate frigates, or you can use it across the board for everyone and every ship. Requirments 5 x Nassau boarders 5 x Grog rations 10 x Ladders (god knows I’m sick of destroying them). 500 Salt. P.s I miss my press gang. 4

Cetric de Cornusiac Posted December 6, 2019 Posted December 6, 2019 Fleet Signal Flags fabricated in workshop Effects: when installed on leader ship (and only there), you can issue additional orders to your fleet ships in battle. Those are: (1) "Try to board ship X" (you click on target) (2) ""Protect fleet ship Y" (you specify ship you want to see defended by the chosen one) (3) "Sail in a straight line to direction Z" (you point a distant place on your battle map which determines a direction for chosen ship to follow). After ship reaches that place it will not stop but just pursue same course. It will still use cannons if opportunity arises, different to existing "retreat" order. Blueprint needs: New book "Fleet operations for senior officers in his Majesty's service" 10x Suriname Indigo 10x Swedish Flax 10x American Cotton 100 Doubloons 1

With this very rigorous act, Van Speijk managed to prevent his ship from falling into the hands of the Belgian insurgents. Up to the twentieth century, this self-sacrifice for the fatherland was sung with national reverence, celebrated and commemorated. Frits Rovers, history teacher at the Amsterdam Faculty of Education, tells the story of this freak heroic act and the equally freak hero worship that followed. He describes the Belgian Revolt of 1830 against the background of the difficult development of the United Kingdom from 1815. He pays extensive attention to the role of King William I, to the Ten-Day Campaign of 1831, to the eventual separation of Belgium in 1839 and to the imaging tradition around the national hero Van Speijk.
