Earl of Grey Posted November 7, 2019 Posted November 7, 2019 (edited) Instead of fine tuning the existing rvr mechanics i suggest to widen the bandwith of RvR. With the introduction of portboni the loss of a Port can be An existencial Hit to a clan or even a nation. So why nit inteoduce an additional conquer step? First step is hostility (the attacket nust Show he want truely attack, He has to Invest some effort to prevent trolling), next (and new step) could be the battle in high sea to enforce the Portbattle. Many possibilitys Here: example: 7 small hostility Battles (5 vs 5 Ai + max. 5/3/1 defending Players) that Spawn in the region during 2 hours ... so the attacker must find and fight all 7 missions in 2 hours, He must prove he rule the sea to prepare the Portbattle. Last step is then the PB itself. Sure this will make Ports harder to attack. Maybe this should only be implemented for 50+ Point-Ports. There are many vatiations and Options thinkable. I want to say: maybe its time for new Instruments to Balance the whole Thing. There could be some "Blockade" Missions. Do a special hostility Mission/Port raid to Blockade a Port/Region ... Blockade means No ship-tows out and in a Region/Port for 24 hours. Or even no teleporting ... Or make trade-interruption missions ... Take a trade interruption mission (behind some trolling prevention) and then kill 20/50/100 AI traders in a Region. After successfull done mission Ports in the region will Not Produce ressources for 24 hours ... Pls Stop "doctoring" on portbattles ... maybe some problems in PBs solve if there are new possibilitys ... Edited November 7, 2019 by Earl of Grey
