oldsoldier Posted November 7, 2019 Posted November 7, 2019 Until the advent of radar battlefleets used 'spotter planes' to see over the horizon and correct the fall of shells. Shells were actually color coded to differentiate. designs 1921 plus should have spotter planes for that purpose as the larger guns shot further than the visable horizon. No attack planes dive bombers, torpedo/horizontal bombers, just spotters. Small biplane with radio, catapult and hanger space, another ship design think problem. 2
SiWi Posted November 7, 2019 Posted November 7, 2019 well I'm for one for real aviation because frankly real admirals also had no choice on the matter. But for spotter planes I'm really optimistic that they will come in due time.
Skeksis Posted November 7, 2019 Posted November 7, 2019 (edited) Don’t forget about "Balloon Tenders" (balloon carriers), before seaplanes, these could be use as an early tech option for the campaign. 😉 Edited November 7, 2019 by Skeksis 4
