Destraex Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 http://www.wargamer.com/article/3765/pc-game-preview-naval-action-ahoy! It seems even websites are starting to have a little visibility now. It's on the radar finally! Well I guess we have to wait until one of the big boys shows it. I do hate the big review sites though. 1
DanielCoffey Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 It was Squirrel's YouTube channel that brought the game to my attention - he loves his sim games!
Jeheil Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 The Mighty Jingles who has 300,000+ subscribers (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpnjlvS2zxhbNJuGNo_TxkQ) who covers alot of 'war games' such as WOT, War Thunder etc has been playing, his latest Naval Action vid has over 100,000 views (and he his is positive about the game, he is also a good fun tuber to follow in my opinion). I actually messaged him about this game about a week before the first vid appeared (not sure if that was what brought him, probably more likely to be sidestrafes vid's methinks). SideStrafe (https://www.youtube.com/user/SideStrafe/featured) with 175,000 subscribers has a bunch of NA vids up with 10-30k viewers (and he does the odd streams), he is a big fan and just drools about the Sea Battles. It is getting out there....but given its early stage and tip of the iceburg functionality you only want it out there so much.
DanielCoffey Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 And what is the national flag of the WarGamer image below that one? It sure isn't English or French.
SchurkjeBoefje Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 And what is the national flag of the WarGamer image below that one? It sure isn't English or French. Spanish I think. Flag of Castile maybe. Has to do with their monarchy. At least I think that's what it is.
Sir Madoc Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Never heard of wargamer it must be a small blog.
Destraex Posted January 29, 2015 Author Posted January 29, 2015 Its a site run by matrix games that is primarily for hard core Wargamers. So it is very niche I guess.
Ghroznak Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 from OP's link: ^ wut is dat? le gun boat? Whatever it is, it looks more like something that would pull sardines out of the sea rather than put ships to the bottom of the sea. Maybe it's the color, I dunno... My first thought when seeing the screenshot was 'fishing boat'
DanielCoffey Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 It looks like it might have four four-pounders per side and possibly something at the bow..
Mirones Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 simply a small craft like the yacht mainly for close range Hauling and so on you know.. Merchant.
