Really needs a "beat-the-hell-out-of-unarmed-trash" mode

Title rather says it all.

I really want there to be a mode (and I'm hoping it just hasn't happened yet) where you can sandbox build whatever you want and use it to rip unarmed ships to shreds. I would spend many many hours there. The customization is already quite a bit of fun (not quite Warship Gunner 2 levels, but it's still early) but I really want to try out a Montana class against a zerg rush of neutered light cruisers or somesuch.
