Strategy General Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 Will Generals be able to move around battlefield to boost morale ? During large engagements similar to UGCW. What is the minimum number of soldiers a unit can have before deploying skirmishers ? Are skirmishers limited to regulars and marines only ?

sterner Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 "General" feature depends on our load. If other things are ready and stable, we can consider adding of cavalry and general. Skirmishers are limited to infantry units: fusiliers, marines and militia except elite units like grenadiers. Moreover it is limited by size of parent unit. If parent unit doesn't have enough soldier then impossible to detach skirmishers.
JaM Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 Skirmishers were drawn from Light Company of each regiment, not from fusilier company... Each regiment had single Light Company that was supposed to perform skirmish duties when needed. Light Company was also considered "Elite company" of the Regiment, same as Grenadiers. They were also commonly brigaded together with other Light and Grenadier Companies, creating "temporary" Grenadier Battalions (typically 4 Grenadier and 4 Light Companies)
