Which is very easy when you are camping capital zone.

I'm not defending the offender but also not supporting inaction from the offended.

Attack enemies sailing your waters. Right away. No waiting. No sitting in port. Just get out and engage.

Every second you wait a newcomer dies ! Sail and attack the enemy and engage them closer !

So basically what you are saying is that for some nation, playing the game is to stay in national waters and run all evening long after fast and fully upgraded with port bonus boats that most of the time we have some problems to even approach, and for some to have those ships and go kill slow defenseless new players…..what a choice… Hey guys!!!, What nation do you want to play????? No wonder half the pop is russian… The mechanic  does not work

The fun is finding a way to do that yes! it can be done, you guys just need get organised... its a problem that needs solving...GB's problem is that it dosent have anyone willing to solve the problem! IMO

@Hethwill like you do not remember me from guarding KPR waters in old times, I killed many, make many run away.

So who is funding me? Only pvp guys with skill and confiedence and very good ships will come to capital zone farming. Some newbies also try for a shortwhile :)

So I earn some combat medals sinking let’s say 5 hunters, more effort and let’s be victories all the time and sink 10. I will get around 30 cm.

But in the same time period, I can farm other capitals, with less risk. I would farm 3-4 times more combat medals. That is why Ed is addicted to KPR :)

So I need to spend my time, funds, with high risk, to earn little, just to protect noobs BECAUSE some guys who are programming hello kittyed up the game and I try to save their game ??? And yes I still do it time to time, like I sank you and Foxxe when you visited PM long time ago :) but do not expect veterans to do this duty. It is a game design problem.

you're quite right.  MT has the same problem.  We have always stated that new players need to be protected by game mechanics but Devs seem to have the opposite view.  Myself, I would increase the size of the capitol zones and make sure that there is enough enemy AI in that zone to be farmed.  The only other thing you can do is educate noobs.  All of us were on the other end of this and those of us that wanted to, learned how to avoid getting clubbed.  It is just a simple fact that there are some areas where the hunters know they will find targets.  I sail a wide route looking for enemies, but you're right, the capitol areas have the most prey.

All good battles and I don't disagree with what you say.

I just see too many excuses not to engage the enemy !

Would not expect suicide but some measure of bravery.

You have an entire fleet of Trincs, Wasas and other vessels holed up in Santiago hugging the forts. Wouldn't those be better used attacking enemies ? Not even defending waters, but taking the fight to the enemy ?

'Tis a War sir, not Peace.

Yes. Non specifically, what i refer to is... Attack your enemies. AI isn't an enemy (yet!). Instead of turning about back to port on the double, engage them enemies. Have fun with pvp.

Last night as I sailed past Port Morant in my Herc, a Brit Herc came racing out and tagged me right away.  After the battle, he advised me that it had been his first PVP.  I admired that guy and he will be a killer soon!  GG Brit!

complain someone sails to their capital alone almost everyday at the same time in the same kind of ship with the same mods and the same guy right to the front door.

complains about lack of 1v1s and pvp.

Can someone translate this ^^^ into English please?

Regarding numbers of players, you've lost all your true traders.  They are gone.  Crafting is nowhere near as engaging or full of depth it used to have either, so you've lost most of those craft-intensive players too.  Sunday to Sunday peaks have lost about 600 players since release, could be that most of those are the traders and crafters.

Every open world MMO worth it’s salt has varied zones built into the game where PVP is allowed, restricted or even removed completely.   Typically the non PVP zones are for rookies and the light zones is where you do intermediate leveling and crafting.  Zones are in these games because you simply cannot expect players to police themselves and not PVP anything and everything.

Naval Action has yet to catch on to this concept and it’s protections of new players...or lack of them is probably the primary reason why this game never seems to grow and ALWAYS loses population.

Now I’ll agree that the safe zone implementation and ROE was...like just about every idea in the game...piss poor and not done well.  With less nations, proper zones and new player transition points this game could really thrive.  That would require development that gives a crap though.

Agree, by catering to a few hardcore pvp "hurddurr game is hardcore durr" loudmouths on this forum, they basically killed this game, these "hurrdurr hardcore hurrr" will soon be alone again with 100pop left.

This game needs zones, pvp zones, limited zones and no-pvp zones if it wants to survive, and not these half arsed attempts that have been ( yeah it failed, because it was some halfe arsed attempt to please everyone especially the "hurrduur hardcurrrr" pvp "gods"

This game could be really succesfull but Ah well, well see

Let´s hope you´ll be wrong and our game provides years of fun! With a worthy trading system, less gear effects (better for the pvp elite to show their skills). I would love to see one more thing: the implementation of a dynamic wind system and sailing profiles taking this in account. for now all battles are way too artificial and polished. regarding the splendid work we enjoy already thanks to the developer this would be another turbo boost :).

That ship sits in KPR at my dock, capped last week after some magic went wrong on Ed's part.

This is a thread I have made to introduce no loss PVP with basically even gear all around.  Please have a look, give a like and subscribe, add to the conversation.  The Devs are finishing a major patch right now.  Once that is done the @admin has clearly stated they will be working on new player retention.  Don't lose hope, I and others are fighting the good fight and the Devs are noticing and I believe they will make changes, either mine or a variation of others, which will improve the experience of newer/casual players, in spite of the Hardcore power player Tryhards who have poisoned this game for far too long.  Losing one of those may see us get and keep 10 new players, which is an excellent trade off.
