Where’s the Gold?!?!

Why do I have no gold to spend in multi day battles? I’m playing Confederates on BG level and I’ve deliberately left gold in my camp to refit the army...the recruits are there...but zero gold to spend! I’ve read other AAR’s and seen videos where players have gold to spend in camp but I just don’t have any.

As far as I know, the supply you used on the first day gets automatically taken out of your money to replenish the supply.
