Captain2Strong Posted August 19, 2019 Posted August 19, 2019 (edited) currently the only significant use and purpose of salt is annoying people and messing up their inventory when they are trying to fish sealed bottles, therefore there is no reason not to delete it Edited August 19, 2019 by Captain2Strong 3
Gregory Rainsborough Posted August 19, 2019 Posted August 19, 2019 How will I mock the salty without it though? 3

Karpfanger Posted August 19, 2019 Posted August 19, 2019 ... as I have said in an other post before ... Make salt great again! ... no joke .. Salt was an important economic factor of that time and should also be in naval action. 5
Potemkin Posted August 19, 2019 Posted August 19, 2019 salt is vital for filling up your hold to make it a pain in the ass for people to loot you while trying to maintain speed/momentum in a battle 3
Macjimm Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Salt is useful when fishing. When the hold is full and fishing stops it is helpful to destroy the salt, reactivate fishing, and head for port. It works out just about right. Even if players are not fishing long enough to fill their hold, the salt is really not an issue. For anyone who truely hates salt, and it upsets them, they can turn the fishing off and ... Presto ! ... No salt.
Sea Archer Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 I would like to have salt necessary again for crafting provisions from fish. It can be even used to make provisions from lifestock. ... but that is too much for our current economy. 2
