Hugh Latham Posted August 8, 2019 Posted August 8, 2019 (edited) Why did the square fort south of Santa Fe not appear in the battle instance? It should have been on the point directly behind the ship. Edited August 8, 2019 by Hugh Latham 1
Hugh Latham Posted August 8, 2019 Author Posted August 8, 2019 I could see the square fort to the north of Santa Fe, which was much further away.
DeRuyter Posted August 8, 2019 Posted August 8, 2019 It should have rendered at the distance in the screenshot. At least I hope it would have that looks to be in range of the forts guns.

Once you don't see square on your battle map, nothing will render. Seeing them in OW means nothing. I understand, but it still should render as you see how close he got during the battle. 1
Hugh Latham Posted August 8, 2019 Author Posted August 8, 2019 During the entire battle all the other much further away forts rendered. 1
HamBlower Posted August 9, 2019 Posted August 9, 2019 If the fort is damaged you can see it in open world but not in battle instance (we had this between map reset and total wipe in St. John's). So please look in the port manage system wether the fort is damaged.
z4ys Posted August 9, 2019 Posted August 9, 2019 (edited) Maybe its just same bug as here. Because there is no( @admin) result of the investigation we can just guess that the bug is still there Edited August 9, 2019 by z4ys

Hugh Latham Posted August 9, 2019 Author Posted August 9, 2019 (edited) I posted very soon after the battle. How could the fort be damaged? Edited August 9, 2019 by Hugh Latham
Hugh Latham Posted August 20, 2019 Author Posted August 20, 2019 I believe I have solved this "problem". The Fort is placed on a promontory in OW yet behind the promontory, with the addition of trees, in the battle instance. This completely obscures it from most positions except when close to shore and slightly north of it.
Gregory Rainsborough Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 I can see the square fort in second picture....
Hugh Latham Posted August 20, 2019 Author Posted August 20, 2019 Must be hard for the gunners to fire through the trees
