There should be an option for fights between clans inside of a individual nation. Some sort of Civil War ability.  Right now any individual clan can go rogue and totally disrupt a nation with little to no recourse by the other clans in nation. Case in point the Russian Clan  BF is totally undermining Vera Cruse by having all the surrounding ports "Open to all" and the other Russian clans have no real way to make them stop.  I am sure there are clans like this in every nation I can think of a few Pirate ones who know they do not have to fear being attacked by fellow pirates so they do all they can to troll their own nation to the detriment of the entire nation.

By adding this Civil War option it would allow clans to attack and punish these rogue clans so their would be a cost to their trolling or playing against the needs of the nation as a whole.  Even it it mean taking the rogue clans ports by force. It would also give Nations a way to deal with Alt dominated clans

In before the “outlaw battles were abused” comment.

We have shifted the game towards a more clan centric game and the consequences of this is now inter nation feuds and the inability to combat this.  Either ditch the clan ports mindset and bring back the large nation design or give nations the ability to solve their problems internally.  Right now we have a mix of both systems and it’s doing the game more harm than good

1. drop them from friendly clan list.

2. don't help defend their ports. in-fact you could hire or encourage someone outside to do so.

3. don't allow them to participate in activities.

A Civil War mechanic would be nice and I think it's something we should have in game, but to say there is no way to "fight back" is just not true.

There is NO way in hell you are going to get a third party to come clear BF out of the ports around Vera Cruz and then get those ports back from them.

You can resist but you have no real recourse to change a semi-determined bad actor.

I'd love the game to be about clans, not nations - because that would help bring about "easier" diplomacy for many players. the friendly clan list could be used for it too.

But instead, we have nations of which it's clear some folks are just hell bent on national identity and the Devs seem content with how it is atm.

So again, I like the thought of a civil war, but you can get folks to help you take someone out.

the Dutch did it against the KURUC clan with your clan. Now scale it up.

Who says we want to remove BF?

Getting back to the topic. Yes, it is imperative that we can have intra-national wars for Port Battles. It's a pain in the ass when an alt clan takes a port and leaves it open doing nothing for upgrades and just leaves it sitting there. We need a way to take that port back. What happens when someone takes a port and their clan leaves the game, is it locked until another nation takes it? It's just too frustrating for no reason.
