Flip Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Its nice.... I wonder if its a stop gap or the finished product? Would be odd to ask for submissions if they have a finished product
Charles Caldwell Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Would be odd to ask for submissions if they have a finished product True... Btw hows your submission going, your screenie got my juices flowing

Cannonball Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 I resized my image to fit the requirements. Let me know what you guys think. -Cannonball 5
Cannonball Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 This should do it. After reviewing other game box art and twitch.tv button logos of other games I felt like mine needed something done with the font. Added some pazzazz to the font and minor drop shadows and verbiage. I think this one pops a bit more than my first. -Cannonball p.s. Is there a deadline for this? 6
Charles Caldwell Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Is this thread still valid Admin, can we post more art?
Ned Loe Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Is this thread still valid Admin, can we post more art? It's not locked , so I believe yes.
Charles Caldwell Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Hmmm after several questions directed at the Dev's on deadlines and no answers, I wasn't sure......
Mirones Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 they are bussy on other things like the patch that should come in the next 2 weeks etc
theSpatchula Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Working on box art hopefully have time before this closes haha.
theSpatchula Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Sailors Wanted First Draft Maybe some old timey filters haha Cover Art on Twitch First Draft, Still working on the filigree is taking a little bit to get it together. 6
theSpatchula Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Are we suppose to be establishing brand identity on this as well? Meaning Logos, Taglines, Color Palette, Guidelines and so on. I was trying to stick to the Naval Action Emblem/Logo and font to provide consistency, but has the brand not been fully established yet? Just wondering 1

I was trying to stick to the Naval Action Emblem/Logo and font to provide consistency, but has the brand not been fully established yet? Just wondering Well it's the same process create text, image and/or your own logo that represents Naval Action game. Guidelines were stated in 1st post. No one said you can't create new and present it. Guidelines 1. 600 by 826 box art image 2. Naval Action name has to be present and has to be readable 3. It must be age of sail setting or/and game related 4. Copyrighted work of others must not be used (its ok to use which is more than 100 years old) 5. Feel free to use screenshots or create completely new art
theSpatchula Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Fair enough. I had reviewed the original post was attempting to build off what they had and expanding on it. Figured that emblem/logo already lives in alot of places and wanted to carry that palette to the cover. Thought it was an interesting logo and thought the stark white background would let it stand out amongst the numerous dark game covers on the twitch gamelist. But, if they are looking more along the lines of what everyone else has been working on I will think of this more as a branding project. Back to drawing board. Thanks
Balck Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 - Fire on the uproll - by Charles Caldwell - SLVF RN WINNER!!!! 2
Brigand Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 (edited) - Fire on the uproll - by Charles Caldwell - SLVF RN This is really nice! Some constructive feedback: the only thing looking a bit 'off' is the look/colour of the gun-flames. I think I'm influenced by a previous screenshot. Edit: looking a bit more at it, I think it would be better if the cannon balls flew in a bit of an arc, instead of a straight line. Cheers, Brigand Edited February 11, 2015 by Brigand 1
BrutishVulgarian Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Sailors Wanted First Draft Cover Art on Twitch First Draft, Still working on the filigree is taking a little bit to get it together. That really stands out among all the other thumbnails.
Grim DeGrim Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I thought this one was great too. I have 3 favorites I'd put to poll. But I'd like to hear from admin... I have the impression that the lack of response implies it is over. UNCOFIRMED! But it is my concern.
theSpatchula Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Anyone know this is still going? Messing around with some grudge texturing and collaged imagery. Its fairly messy at the moment, but take a look and hopefully this is till going.
PegasusUK Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 I resized my image to fit the requirements. Let me know what you guys think. -Cannonball I had an image in my head how i wanted the twitch image to look and when I saw yours i thought bingo!, but less is more and prefer it without the six smaller images inside. Charles caldwell is a close second. all amazing designs and better than anything i could whip up.
OTMatt Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 I like Caldwells picture the most, navalaction.com at bottom detracts from the image a little but it still pretty nice. 1
