Preliminary notes for patch 34

Improvements

  • Localization update for the remaining elements of UI. Localization is 95% complete (there will be more fixed for new content and remaining issues)
  • Added repair counter for hull and rig to the ship card. It will show how many repairs this ship needs for 1 repair cycle
  • Added visualization for switched off decks when brace is active
  • Added ability to switch off decks during boarding

Fixes

  • Fixed some of the polish ranks
  • Fixed bugs with trade of non tradeable items
  • Fixed the bug that changed buttons in toolbars after using chat
  • Fixed bug that did not show brace command correctly after reconnect
  • Fixed bug that did not show land in commander tablet after Ctrl H
  • Fixed bug that did not show the special symbols in ship names in emails
  • Fixed bug that shown duplicate missions in journal
  • Fixed multiple other UI bugs
  • Server optimization fixes

 

Hotfix to patch 34

  • Localization improvements and bugfixes
  • DLC Ships now get port bonuses randomly (just like elite notes)
  • Elite Notes now get NPC ship rare bonuses (like liverpool refit) to make them more exciting and sometimes very powerful.

@admin this and what about the Paints we where suppose to get 30 days after the DLC came out, it's been what over 4 months now?  

Any word on the ships that we voted on are they being model/done, where is the DLC money going towards if not new paints/flags/Ships?  

Can the people that paid for the flags get the in game 50K flags since they paid for flags, they should have these too?   I mean what was the point of paying money for flags if we are getting restricted on some of the best ones in game?

When will this patch come and as above what happen to the road map that was suppose to be posted in a few days and not it's a week later?

exactly my point why  a paint and flag dlc is terrible in this kind of game, either all of it needs to be available through ingame content and in the dlc or it should only be available through ingame content, strange how they want to do this because in the end they remove much reason to do ingame stuff, getting paint or flags for doing something ingame would bring a sense of achievement on doing stuff

And i have no problem with the flags being able to be bought in game for Doubloons, or found in loot drops.  Just as we can find the paints in loot drop.

Yes, so your ship can rock around more as you run from any battle where you do not grossly outnumber the enemy ;)

@admin but to another topic that we all know will happen, and from what you have said earlier that you want diversity in fleet, what should honestly be the reason for us players to craft a wasa and use it over a Victory? 20 CM difference is like 2-3 days of PvP. The material needed arent that much of a difference and the HP and thickness of a first rate makes it invurnerable, you also redid the BR for RVR so there is No reason to even bring a 3rd rate, because 24 wont easily pen.

So why should we craft a wasa over a 2nd rate or 1st rate? I mean RVR wise

RvR wise because in 10,000 BR PBs you can fit 25 Wasa's while only 12 Victories or 11 other 1st rates.
Taking into account speed of Wasa smart battle caller will segregate 1st rates even further sending 15 wasa's vs 2-3 1st rates, while others simply kite the rest of 1st rates.

The problem is that first you have to beat the 25v25 first rate PB, then you dont Split them into 3 groups, its enough to hold 2 circle and 7 or even 6v12 in both circle the first rates will have a big advantage considering the wasas will have to go close to pen with 24 pd while the 42's pen easily from afar. 

 

If the thickness was balanced i would agree with you

the problem is that the wasa has with mods and everything maybe 15k or something hp while the victory will be at 25k, i dont say that the HP is the problem (although that the uss frigates have much more hp then a lineship triggers me) The problem is if the Wasa's are somewhat going to be able to kill the 1st rates they are gonna need to get close, and if the guys in the 1st rates know what they are doing they will focus 2 wasas and fire broadsides on them, and all of those 50 cannons on one side will pen that wasa, and if the wasa wants to pen the victory its most probably going to sink.

Now call me crazy, but maybe the wasas should be permit purchasable by doubloons and they should increase the cost to build a 1st and 2nd rate, although this are stuff that should have been dealt with before release because it would matter a ship wipe or else it would be unfair. Because 1st rate is meta, because of thickness and penetration.

Remember the penetration table in Naval Action is realistic for what cannons actually did, but the HMS Victory wasnt 90cm thickness on the side, it was 60cm

Psst - This isn't accurate. You get an error when you select it because of an undefined variable in the received JSON file. Therefore what you see is the last ship you viewed, in this case the Wasa.

 

I can tell you looking at the JSON, it has 22x 24lb, 24x 18lb (42 carros), 6x 9lb (18 carros) gun decks, 2x 9lb (42 carro) bow and stern, 15100 side durability base, 13590 structure. 15100 sail durability. 450 max crew (350 min). Max speed 11.68
