Many clans leave GB nation because people in the nation hate each other, don't help each other etc. Also, it's a vast majority of new players, not experienced. Most veterans leave GB. GB was a powerhouse back in 2017/2018, but it's been dying for last 2 years every few months. It got a bit revived by HAVOC, but that only put them on their legs and HAVOC left/quit the game when there was nothing to do in GB. On the other hand, Russia is full of RvR players, as it became RvR nation (RDNN/LEGO/REDS with RUS & PLANB started this). Then there was BF, VLTRA, NN, LG, 7UP, RUBLI, PODW, EVIL (👽) and many good RvR players left their nations to join Russia. Every RvR player wants to sail in full 25 RvR player fleet of good players. But if all RvR players leave their nations to join Russia, there is no one left to fight. RvR players left France, left Spain, left GB, left US, left Prussia. All left to converge into RvR nations: Russia, VP, Denmark-Norge, Pirates. So now we have only 4 RvR nations, but weaker nations get attacked and easily killed. Very few players hate each other. The ones does, hate because of seeing others as threat to their status and goals. Great Britain, Spain and France were never great RvR nations. They enjoyed RvR power from time to time though. They never managed to shake off statiquo. They had many great players, who had to leave tired to be managed by incompetent leadership. Your PvP skill cannot be reflected directly as RvR skill. 90% of "PvP" players were dillusional about their RvR skills, naming themselves heroes by defeating a heard of sea sheeps. There were only 3 RvR powerhouses in different times, pre release. Danish, Swedish and Pirates. Russia served as an exile country for good PvP players who were lacking and wanting more prominent RvR success. Pre release Russian success (Danes) were enjoyed by exactly the same reasons we have today. Game mechanics which favour numbers and hardcore game committment. That is their so called nostalgia. The people who actually played a role in RvR and left GB didn't leave because of being managed by incompetent leaders. They left because they got tired of having to pester everyone else into doing something as unified force. From the time I got active in RvR (early 2018) until release GB never had a singular leader. We had a few very large clans with few decent RvR players and some small clans with a high RvR-player percentage. It's easy to imagine how well those two types of clans got along 1

They never managed to shake off statiquo. They had many great players, who had to leave tired to be managed by incompetent leadership. When this game first hit early access, Great Britain for a while was one of the more dominant RvR powers or do we forget how SLRN drove all the way to Puerto Rico and then Aves. And there was nothing incompetent about the leadership in Britain when it had people like GKar, HMCS Warrior, Augustus and others who managed to get the clans to coordinate when it was no longer possible for a single clan to form a fleet. The leaders got burnt out, and eventually so did the core RvR group. 2 hours ago, Barbarosa said: There were only 3 RvR powerhouses in different times, pre release. Danish, Swedish and Pirates. You list the Swedes, but somehow Britain is excluded when the entire server hated them for controlling half the map and weren't a RvR powerhouse? And this during the days of flags in which they were fighting more port battles against multiple nations daily and successfully. You're right the RvR powerhouses has ebbed and flowed during early access but at one time the Danes weren't the dominant RvR fleet, during the early days Britain came closer to Christiansted than anyone other than the Swedes and only because their capitals are next to each other. The southern Cuba campaign before the 3 Admirals treaty, the British had spent weeks fighting together and had a strong and good RvR group from weeks of fighting as a single unit. This at a time when the Danes, Swedes, and Pirates were doing little to nothing in the world of RvR. Game has been around for a long time and has changed a lot, hard to deal in absolutes such as these nations have been the only powerhouses in RvR. Edited July 16, 2019 by Redman29 3
Barbarosa Posted July 16, 2019 Posted July 16, 2019 Liberalism, I am not counting very beginning of server or capability to master 7 fleets. During that time almost everyone remember it as their glorious times. Dutch tell legendary stories against French and sweden, France had their glories, Sweden was down in Pampatar conquering, defending land. Our battle commander (Sweden) was thinking that wind has no effect on battle since it blows to same direction for both sides; and it is impossible to win offensive battles. The times almost everyone were agreeing with him. Mythical times when most believed if SLRN start sailing sea level will increase and Gustavia will be under water. I am not aware that SLRN defeated main Denmark fleet few times. I remember pirates beat GB quite hard and RUS fleet stop playing after introduction of 4th rate battles. SLRN was very short living big flame. Tom Farseer, when I talk about leadership of course I over generilize. İt can be one big clan who blocks cooperation, it can be someone who forces his vision on others, it can be someone average with battle leading. Doesn't matter. At the end wolf stops following highly prized dog. Dog can't be challenged in big nations, cause he still have the power of the big pack behind him. İf it is working you have your leadership, if it is not working you don't have it.
VirtuallyIdiotic Posted July 16, 2019 Posted July 16, 2019 It is pointless to talk about pre-release. It has little to no effect on the current post-release politics. Much of the clans listed are gone. Time for new tales to be formed. 2

Go ahead if you wish to continue discuss old stories where others will contradict based upon their own viewpoints, personal grudges, experiences, etc. All it does is continue meaningless discussions that contribute nothing to the current environment of the game and even the politics. Stay in the past bickering or you push on forward. The wipe and release has drastically changed the balance of the server. Espana lost complete control of the Gulf, the Dutch are a viable strong nation, and Prussia had a major exodus just to name a few. The Union of Santo Domingo occurred as well. These are the things that should be discussed. Not SLRN or RDNN. Edited July 16, 2019 by Davos Seasworth 3

Tom Farseer Posted July 17, 2019 Posted July 17, 2019 Funny how people are pissed about EU clans using 11-14 timers when GBs EU fleet could defend 4 out of 8 flipped ports in the Bahamas in that exact time frame 1
Celtiberofrog Posted July 17, 2019 Author Posted July 17, 2019 I guess we got to be a bit more patient to see the server with wealthier Factions. Rusian Faction has wan the military race thx to its population of active veteran players, now will this Faction capable to sustain its growth & expansion on long run ?
