Anvilfolk Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Looking forward to it. Must get an HMS Pickle. Just for the name which is hilarious. Then you can honestly you got yourself in a Pickle... Also, these plans are amazing - and so much in a short timespan! Really looking forward to it.
CommodoreWesley Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 For the Privateer Schooner, you could use the lines of the Pride of Baltimore II which is modeled off of American Privateers of the 1812 era. She is a topsail schooner and is modeled after the American privateer Chasseur. I do not remember the number of guns that she carried or what poundage they were, but I do know that she is larger than the Lynx because I have been on both ships when they were docked next to each other in Savannah a few years back. For some reason I can't copy and paste the link here, but if you go to www.pride2.org you should be able to find information about the ship there. Looking forward for the addition of more smaller ships! 1
Bis18marck70 Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 HMS Pickle ! If ever there was a finer name for a boat, I am ignorant of it's existance. Best of luck guys, we'll be here eager to help to try all this stuff out. 1
Bixol Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 this sounds amazing, i am definitely looking forward to test all this stuff, it will be very intresting!
Illusive Tabby Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 So, yea, I approve. Keep up the amazing work devs!
Zehtuka Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Excellent line-up of features, keep up the communication plus community involvement and you will strike gold.
Jeheil Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 How excitement. Very appreciative that you are prepared to publish a development roadmap of sorts. The community needs to respect the bravery/openness of such an approach....and try (though you make it difficult by producing such fun stuff) to constrain/restrain our impatiance (like we did as 6yo's on Christmas mornings at 5am when mum and dad were still asleep). Take the time you need, quality over calendar and good winds to you sirs.
bubba145 Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 I hope also some basic inventory managment comes as well. But in regards to that i think something like a grid based system in the hold would work. like total square meterage (Not sure of the right word but using metric so more can understand it) taken into account. and in the future maybe the weight and placement could come into play in battle.
Dagann Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Sounds great. Could you please say which la Belle-poule & which la Renommée are going to be added ? Cause there are several boats with these names.
Mirones Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Sounds great. Could you please say which la Belle-poule & which la Renommée are going to be added ? Cause there are several boats with these names. the 38gun 12pounder frigate 1765 2
Dagann Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 the 38gun 12pounder frigate 1765 Ty. And la Renommée ?
Mirones Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Ty. And la Renommée ? wasnt that allready pointed out on the first page?
Dagann Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 This Nomenclature gives more than 10 La Renommée, with several good candidates : http://threedecks.org/index.php?display_type=ships_search I hope to see the one from the Pallas class by Sané, launched in 1808 and later captured the RN. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Java_%281811%29
