I've noticed that the volume of forum postings has gone way down.  People too busy playing the game?  Makes sense that there is a positive relationship between game satisfaction and # of forum posts.

I enjoyed reading the posts from excited players suggesting ideas to add.   Interesting concepts about discovery of rare items or treasure along remote coastlines.   Or encouraging trade that was interconnected to national production and strength.

But those type of posts stopped ... long ago.

All i know is Gamelabs made a metric *!@#-ton of money from rattvisans and other dlc by releasing before the summer sale, now hopefully we see more new players during the sale with a bit of advertising from the profit. Think of it as a conscious investment on behalf of the veteran players who still  have a vested interest in seeing NA thrive, (and maybe a little bit of wanting a competitive advantage :)).

Or the opposite may be true: everyone is tired of the process. Suggestions are made and very little comes of most. Hopefully the devs will post an honest frank roadmap of where they see this game headed now that it is released.

Actually I personally know two people that simply stopped playing since the release and dont bother anymore... One was really pissed of about the wipe, and the other said the AI became insane and he did not want to level against to quote "shit" again. And both where players for a while. I wonder how new players handle the awesome AI battles while leveling. Personally I just joke and say the AI is magic... After all it can turn on a time, shoots radar guided cannon balls and hit like they are from a different world. Only thing missing is that the magic AI gets a warlock on its deck that also shoots fireball... after all what does one cheat more matter LOL

The game is great, release went very well, lots new and returning players, people are busy =  less to whine and bitch about hence less posts.

I'm thinking reduced forum participation is a combination of the "Frontlines" system reducing the RvR activity, few people caring about the empty Patrol Zones anymore, and most people spending a lot of time doing PVE activities such as delivery missions, hauling for port investments and flipping "Neutral" ports.  Less conflict on the waters to generate passionate complaints about game mechanics problems, and more time invested in PVE grinds.  (getting lots of youtube done these days)

What point is in posting anymore?

Release happened.

The devs don't listen. They have their own vision and stick to it come hell or high water. They have a coterie of supporters that will defend them no matter what. Eurasia? Surely you mean Eastasia. That kinda stuff.

I've uninstalled a while ago when I realized they won't do anything about the superbots because their coterie of loyalists is telling them that it's wonderful.

Sure, I come back to snark in interesting threads, and hope the devs wake up one day and nerf the bots because their left foot feels like it (that is how all other changes were made anyway, so why not). If it happens - great. If not... I'll miss NA but I already got my twenty bucks worth out of it. There are other fish in the sea.

I don't even care if I get banned or suspended for this. Go ahead, make my damn day.
