I've had this error every time I've tried to use @ someone for the last 2 weeks. If I remove the @ someone it works every time.

Yep....  just don't "@XXXXXX" until it gets solved....

When this happens, usually if you just click back (do not refresh), then click in the comment box, your message will be there again. Just remove the @ name and you should be fine.
