Siemka everyone!

First of all let me introduce myself - I`m KptStrzyga and I want to sail seas. Sail and fight like in this song.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBdC5YT6Vvg

I`m World of stronk tonks player for almost 3 years but I got bored with my old hobby so I`m looking for new game to kill time (I have lots of time to kill) and idea of big open world under sails with trade, convoys and dangers like pirates sounds very tempting and very romantic, but before I pay almost 40 euro for early access (I`m from Poland and it`s quite a lot of monies for me   ) I need to ask you few questions.

Let`s get to it.

I have two computers:

One is laptop with I7 CPU, 4 Gb ram and 4 Gb graphics running on 64 bit Win 7.

Another is desktop with quite stronk CPU AMD A series (I know, that was mistake but luckily not as big as most intel users think) but only 4 Gb RAM and very old Nvidia GTX 275 running on 32 bit (!!!) win 7.

Now questions.

Will this game run well enough to play without raging on my gear? And if not what do I need to upgrade?

Where are servers? How high will be my ping if I`ll play from Poland?

Thx for all answers and any help.  :)

Servers are in Germany.  They just installed some on the east cost US though.

You need to check the graphics chip to make sure it fully supports dx11.  Check with the manufacture specs, not dxdiag as that will not give you an accurate answer.  It is almost impossible for anyone to tell you how it will run on your machine.

This doesn't support directx 11

It does suppord Dx11 but I`m afraid that after playing for like 10 minutes my poor laptop will overheat, burn and explode. Explosions and burning laptops are bad so I`m going to buy new graphic card for desktop.

Naval Action supports SLI?

And will it run on 32 bit win 7 with only 4 gb ram? (ram is cheap so it`s not big problem really..)

Wait! Hold on! You have a 4GB VRAM graphics card? .....in a LAPTOP!?

Well.. if the chipset on that supports DX11 you're all set! 4GB on Win7 shouldn't be your biggest problem. 32bit neither, but not sure. I'd highly recommend switching to 64bit ASAP though. Cannot say about SLI though. Safest bet: no. I have a Radeon HD 5800 with 1 GB VRAM, and I can run it on "High" on 40-ish FPS. On "ultra" it tanks it down to like 15 or so. But "high" is pretty enough for me :D

Not really... I can start any game game I want but if I want to keep playing I`d have to put laptop in refrigerator or bucket filled with cold water... It does overheat.

Stronk design.  :D

Upgrading ram won't do any good if you have 32bit.  Need 64bit for it to recognize more.

Pirates love to attack the weak. They do not attack the strong or even. Where naval captains get court marshalled if they do not attack when odds are even. They forget that in the movies.

In the song they forgot to say that the pirtes did as little fighting as possible at so little risks to themself as possible. :D

At sea perhaps, but once they go ashore & drink some rum all sorts of fighting happens.
