Now we see how players with 1-3 alt accounts have manipulated and distorted the testing period over the past 3 years.

The game should have been build upon feedback of players with no alts.

Let’s remove direct trading between player from different nation. Contracts only. This should hamper the alt business a bit more.

Why would you not allow that, what if I decide to contact someone in global chat about an item that is extremely rare, why would they put that into contract and then sell it to me, it makes both players pay 10% extra due to port tax, as well as the fact that it could be sniped by someone else. I am sorry but this suggestion is just daft.

Currently, I cannot place a contract in a foreign port for some rare wood and I must conquer the port via RVR to have accès to that ressource, promoting RVR.

A player with an alt can completly avoid this mechanic by placing an alt in that nation and trade those ressource /money directly to his main account. Capturing the port and RVR is thus meaningless.

All this should be tolerated so you avoid paying a 10% tax?

That’s just a personal inconvenience. Pay the extra tax.  Money is overflowing anyway.

How many alts do you own?

anyway, no chances in hell that something will be done about it. Easy money.

It is not a personal inconvenience, as everyone will be affected by this. By putting up a contract you make it available for everyone on the server, which means that if you are willing to pay that 10 million reals price for a certain item, everyone can steal it from you right in front of your nose. The cross-nation trading should remain as is.

As for your question I own 3 accounts which are all in the same nation as I use them to haul and gather materials as well as storing ships. So your point hardly applies to me. That being said, disabling cross-nation trade would be a major inconvenience to a lot of players as it would make private deals impossible and in an MMO I believe private trade deals are quite frequent. What if YOU were looking for the Book of Five Rings, you cannot find it anywhere; you ask in global chat and find a seller, the seller puts up the contract and... Someone else stole your book.

As said it's just a daft suggestion in my opinion and I am quite certain that there are more people that would agree with me on this.

Except you forget you still have to be on friendly clan list.  Folks aren't going to add some random solo alt to the friendly clans list if they don't know that person.  So you can't get the rare woods that away.

Avoid playing 10% tax? You do know every one pays that same tax as what ever the port owner sets.  This just proves you don't have a clue how alts work.  lol

I really think a lot of the anti alters actually have no clue how it is to use and play with alts. I'm not getting easier game cause I have alts, I'am actualy having to grind and support each of those chars.  It's not the old Tobacco days where we made millions a run.

Even my alts have alts these days. There are times when one of our alt clans has more players online in another nation than all the others.. lol.

So ask yourself this: When players have multiple max rank, max crafting rank accounts with all the books at their disposal... which one is the "main?" :P

I simply use my alts to spy on other nations.  Would this still be acceptable if I refrain from econ? :)

Remember the days on global, “there is 175 players online they have to be some where.  Me counting who was all on BLACK and how many alts we have on, “ we or like 75 of that number.”  Maybe not that bad but there was times lol

@Sir Texas Sir  @The LoneWolf

we had some too remember... [EDARK]

If ALT accounts were encouraged, promoted and tested for control, the need for DLCs pre-launch wouldn't have risen.

Moving forward, at launch The Equalizer idea along with the Rank promotion change suggested solves not all but a lot of issues. With DLCs the game will not attract Cat2 Old Players that'll stay long enough on its own. This by far GLs largest customer group
