Dear Captains who had the chance to try Rattvisan or fight against this ship

Please provide feedback on the Rattvisan
What do you like, what you do not like?

Just fought against one with my testing oak/oak Aggamemnon (I was just heading to capital to put 42er carros on the Agga lol). Rättvisan feels not to strong and I enjoyed the fight. Good balancing!

I fought against one, firepower and sailing profile seems okay on paper, but 6 bow chasers, that is an overkill for sure. There is only wasa with 6 chasers and it requires RNG permit, but this can be redeemed everyday.

I remember Hercules and Requin, this one seems more balanced, time will tell.

Id only gave her speed and turn rate boost she has weaker armor and firepower compared too Agamemnon so let her be faster and more agile

Please leave it as it is. Dont make dlc ships strong or stronger as other 4th rates. Getting this ship for free every day is good enough.

If it's historical it is OK. The redeemable issue has nothing to do with the combat performance of the ship. We should keep it separate. Trincos, wasa and connie have the same strengths and its fine.

I would say AGA should be the DLC and this one should be craftable. Try running away with your crafted ship from this DLC ship, there is no running away from 6 chaser.  Wasa is the same but it has RNG permit, so it is very rare, but this can be redeemed everyday, that is my point.

Let's keep monitoring this thread, may be I am wrong, we will see.

I'm quite concerned about the 6 chase guns, it seems a bit much considering her size. Surely 4 is plenty and much more balanced with the rest of the line up. In terms of the rest of her she seems fairly nicely placed although I'm sure the ability to redeem a 4th rate a day is going to have a fairly dramatic effect on the game world, at least there will be more combat.

One thing I do love though is her paint scheme, she's quite the sight to behold. Send some love to whoever designed her please. 😍

I can only agree. 

I like this ship, it is not too strong or overpowered.

Long/mediums 24p in the lower deck and 24p carros in the middle deck...
Thats too little for a 4th rate... A Diana, Endy, Indef have much more punch.

Just two full decks of 24s and 18s. Nothing to see here folks.

From the comments in this thread and what I heard, it seems she is fairly balanced but the main issue remains... she is free once every 24h, while crafting SOL is more expensive / difficult than ever if you want the best woods. Just imagine yourself in some crafted purple or gold 4th rate being chased and sunk by 5 Rattvisan and their 30 bow chasers, while they risk literally nothing. 

My new and permanent home are the shallows.

had one battle in it so far, seems like an ok balanced ship so far - other dlc's at launch were pretty out of balance and took a bit to get them tweaked; this one seems ok.

decent allrounder, don't see it being much better than comparable ships of its class (eg aggie), if not worse

Ironically it is a very balanced ship right from the get go.

I honestly see no reason to adjust anything about it at this time.

If the aggy became a DLC there would be murder. I really think the dlc issue is eco problem not combat. 6 chasers are a bitch I know.

Rattvisan is a well balanced ship... I would use her against any other 4th rate in game... she is not over powered in any way and I like the fact that she can mount 24 pound guns. While she is a DLC, in my book I would rate her right their with any other 4th rate in game... the 6 bow guns are cool... and if they are historically accurate then I am happy with them... if not... 2 or 4 would be efficient enough for my taste, but I will take the 6 bow guns any day. Her handling is just right in my opinion and can be tampered with by using upgrades and books... very cool ship indeed.

Yes... I agree with you on this... I think that the DLC ships should be DLC permits... what say you?

i like it a lot.

i find it's a very good option for solo players with less access to woods and permits, while not being overpowered. i guess time will tell if it is balanced or not but it feels right to me so far (not that i'm that qualified to tell anyway!). 

love the extra 'mini broadside' on the bow, it's cool for brawling too.

the price i paid very gladly but i do think it is a bit high, hope that goes well.
