Hobbies are "disposable income" territory.

Yeah but it's tax season in the US, there aint none o' that left.   :)

$152.92 for all DLC now, man that isn't disposable income anymore, at least not for the masses.

so guys is Rattvisan worth it?

you can only answer this question for yourself.... (if you want to pay almost the same price of the actual game for a single ship...)

If it's not disposable income, then it isn't.

I don't get it.

comparison with Agamemnon and Wasa, her closest brethren. Stats are noit the problem. Cooldown timer of only 24h is.

true but id like too hear how he performs against aga and other 4th rates

Looks like the Agamemnon ist faster, has more pnd per Broadside and more Armor. AND the Aga doenst need a permit. Clear choice for me: Better, cheaper and no permit

Again, tax season in the US.  If you were clubbed every year on the 15th, then you would certainly get it.  Especially when the club gets bigger every time it's used.

Are the new ships that much better?  Why are they so much more than the others?  Wouldn't the value be the same if they are still competing in their own class?

I get what disposable income is.

If you don't, your problem.

That's as far as it goes.

Geez, touchy.  Nonharmful statements.  You ignored the other part though.  Honest questions not answered.  Just slapped for stating what others are saying, it's pretty damn high.

EDIT: repeating the actual question: Are the new ships that much better?  Why are they so much more than the others?  Wouldn't the value be the same if they are still competing in their own class?

And the turn rate is basically the same, which is actually what will make a difference fighting with these bigger 4th rates....

Not touchy at all, unless you read what i write with your mindset, which i must say that's the main issue.

If you don't have the spare cash to spend on NA hobby then you don't. As simply as that.

And honest answers were given. Maybe not what was expected, but then same as with disposable income, only you can manage those, cash and expectations.

The stats will be updated on the pages once the whole rebalance of ships is completed. At the moment we are working on rebalancing speeds

as in the Rättisvan speed or general Speed of all Ships?

I think what Hetthwill means is: If you "disposable income" is only availbly seasonally and not during tax season that means it is not really disposable...

Don't go by that, lol.  It means robbery

yea.... fleece job means the rob someone.  Not the other thing, though I guess that could be appropriate given the prices

It's fine, no offense taken, on my part at least.  I dropped it, since tax discussions are never useful to anyone except CPA's anyway. :)

But I was asking a serious question.  I see the new ship stats are not final, but the DLC is definitely released for purchase, so in deciding whether or not to buy, the real question on value is are they better in their own class or not?  If not they would seem overpriced to me, at least compared to the lower class DLC's.  If they are better in class they are probably worth the increased price.  What do we know of that?

You can check the current API values there.
As is, Rättvissan is the most comparable to the Ingermanland, statswise. L'Hermione is basically La Belle Poule. So both are sitting below the Permit-locked ships of their class.
Edit: Just double checked. Aga is better across the board and doesn't even need a permit^^

lol Do the math. Calculate the time it takes to craft an aggy. Sailing to get resources etc. 30 euro for a 4th rate is nothing. I highly doubt noone will buy them. Its p2w plain a simple guys. @Hethwill trading is not a hobby for many of us. That is why the dlc is targeted at the players that don't like it. I have to give them one thing. They are smart.

Personally I think that's totally fair.

now I would prefer the ratatata be 48hour redeem and not 24hr. but eh.
