People leaving game, because losing ships, knowing that wipe is coming upon us, and everything has no value?

They will likely come back after release.

Yesterday, 2 fellow players decide to quit the game, it happening in all nation, every day.  Probably a few noobs also quit after a painful first week of getting constant ganking.

I don't have a miracle solution to keep them and I'm afraid the game is in risk to be a DoA game at this rate. But I have a few suggestion if you want to listen.

  • Be clear in your communication, respect you customers in chat, do not change your promises all the time, keep your deadlines. AND GIVE US A RELEASE DATE
  • Respect your community and their different play style,  I feel you listen more to the one who think like you, (PvP hardcore into absurdum) and tell the customer who don't agree to constant ganking to move to PvE .
  • Save the noobs, protect your new customers, give them the time to adapt and learn,  give them advice and be crystal clear about RoE , protect them from gankers at all cost or they will quit the game in one week. don't forget that  an happy customer may attract 2 new, a piss-off one will make you loose the potential of 6-8 new ones.
  • Kill the multiple accounts, I know you love their money, but they contribute to the decline and corruption of the game. Ruining the economy system by monopolizing the resources a placing contract in several nations, using "alt" to spot and gank with other account. it creates so many frustration and kill the game I love.

do you have a statistic how often this kind of threads get created and if they correlate with anything specific?

Players leaving NA since the release on steam.

Admin said: Playerbase doesnt matter in the early access phase...

Replacing of context and content meaning.
Player base (all future and potential players) is not - concurrent online number (number of players logged in)

Hum,

to respond to that insults...

Back on main topic. For the next few months excluding the weeks of patch releases the servers population will remain low. Much of the community that is treating Naval Action like a release and not actually testing the Early Access will in most cases be avoiding playing and more importantly testing. Now, currently as well, we have the Rattsivan or whatever it is called coming out. Many suspect that this ship will be another Wasa, yet no one has actually used this ship yet outside a select few mainly in the development team itself. Now this is mostly just people crying fire before the actual fire has occurred. This ship will effect the game in a significant way when it is released, yes. But just like the Wasa, Hercules, Hermoine, Christian, and Requin, our TASK is to test this new ship out and find flaws, exploits, etc, within the build. That way the developers can alter the ship to become more leveled to be less impactful as previously were making crafted ships obsolete like the ships previously listed have been. Gladly, test the ship out now rather than post release where it would do more damage. There are obviously more concerns. Many of which are caused by people acting like a bunch of privileged white suburbanites crying because they are not getting their way, refusing to adapt to the changes, and the general blowing things out of proportion and then proceeding to freak out when they face the consequences of their actions/words. To even go into those statements I would be spending more time than I really care to go into.

This is all I care about right now: I frankly, do not care what the population is at. My goal right now is to test out aspects of the game and find flaws. Once I find a flaw, rather than exploit them I would report them and continue on my way. Once the game is released I plan to write a positive review on stream listing off the pros and cons of the game and its community. Then proceed to play the game with less investigation in the its mechanics and more focused on enjoyment.

When alts had the opportunity to join port battles, this was an issue. It isn´t anymore for a long time.

Spying is not an issue, and it is a part of the game.

What might "ruin" the economy is CLAN based monopoly on resources and recent decisions to PRESS all single players into huge clans, so they can have an access to valuable resources.

Alt accounts aren´t an issue for a long time. Guess you have missed some things which were fixed even before i´ve started to play.

Alt joining a PB without being in a clan is fixed by making a battle group as a PB group for the certain port. It would work, but never gotten Feedback from admin
