Making it possible to get other wood then Oak and Fir as Pirate

Hello.

It is currently close to impossible for pirates to get any other wood types then Oak or Fir. We use to be able to get some from bottles, but when you nerfed the dopprate of the bottles that became impossible. Having some sort of special wood in a port were pirates can get a hold of it would be nice, or upping the bottle drop rate again.

Are small qtys of rare woods still carried by AI traders? or is that gone/going?

I got about 500 WO off a trader 2 nights ago.

To add to that , bottles seem to be giving better loot too , rare woods etc

sounds like you're not on the friendly clan list of some of the pirate clans that own rare woods.

but better to steal it from others.

It´s easy to say "go and steal from others", while those others only have to be on friends list of clans which own those ports where you can get those woods.

Double standards.
