Open world X and ship

I clicked on a ship yesterday through the Open world Battle X and was able to have both as targets 3 bubbles..Can I use that to direct AI fleets into Battles>?

I don't understand what you are saying here. 

Usually when you click on a Battle (Crossed swords) in the OW, you see 2 circles -  one will reinforce Nation A, the other, Nation B.  Entering either circle can allow you to enter the Battle, but AI will not be drawn in with you.

AI only get drawn in when the battle created -  and then the AI come in only if they are of the same Nation as the participants.

If you are seeing more than 2 circles it probably is a bug.  Use "F11" and get a screen shot.

I think what he means is that he was close to the swords of an OW battle but clicking on a ship that was past it. The game sometimes shows the tag circle of the ship you clicked on and the join circles for the OW battle.
