Honestly if they allowed us to attack ports and capture them as clans and reset the Peace server map every 3 months I prob move over there cause with my work I don't have the time for full blown RvR and lack of PvP means we are pretty much playing Peace server.  IT's just to boring and bland over there.  Clans should still have options to capture ports and own them even if they only fight against AI.

Couldn’t agree more. Maybe TEST the Peace server allowing Co-Op (Clan/Nation) Port PB against AI. If victorious the Port resets after just 3days.

If the idea is liked by all then as Sir Texas suggests a longer Quarter reset. It would add value to the server.

Over weekend PvP server hit maybe 300-350 in peaktime that is big % down on before,  just wondering reason why.

Seems everyone's response....

Multiple factors contributing. Not just one reason. Be it people upset with changes but we are better without them. Or people just waiting for the wipe which is upon the horizon. Then you have the usual exhaustion and on to other games for a time being. Same thing happened when server merges and wipes in the past were announced.

I too think folks are waiting for the last wipe.  Also, too with all of these mini wipes/hot fixes, folks just might to want to wait till things setting down so we all know where things are going and what is what in the end.

I was okay with almost all the changes except now the removal of the R zone.  I wouldnt say Im a carebear, but not a hardcore pvp'er either, and the loss of r zone and any feasible way to build optimal ships when we are going to be losing alot more ships, has killed my enjoyment by about 100%.

I'm not the first one to propose it but Peace/War servers should share the same world, just rotating Theaters.  If we had thousands of players then it would have made sense to have rotating European/Caribbean theaters, but with so few players now we could just have different parts of the Caribbean in active war at any one point.

War server prosecutes RvR in a region (everything is walled, no sailing/traveling/trading/exchange between toons on different servers), while PvE operates in the world excluded from where War is currently happening.  Peace server therefore lays the groundwork (stocking up repairs, cannons, ships, etc. in various parts of the map) that the War server and PvP'ers fight over when the region moves.  Ports change hands, etc. thus laying the groundwork for a changing landscape for the Peace guys to play in when War moves to a new region, etc.

Contracts and goods remain in place as the War Theater moves... I think it would create a tighter integration between PvE and PvP worlds and keep people happy..

No we are not better up without them. Lot of the guys we miss, is the guys that gather ppl and create content. In time new creators might  merge, if not we are in a shitty place.

Lot of the ones missed were gone long before the latest wipe mentioned. Most of them left because of the length this early access has been. Many of them are coming back. For most recent people are not such people.

I think the best way to explain the state of the game is the 1 step forward and 2 steps back trend we’ve had with every patch.

The game was much more enjoyable 2 or even 3 years ago, even if we had less features.

The new crafting system, reinforcement areas and because my clan quit the game about a year ago kinda did it for me.

Also I never liked the vibe of pvp1 or euro or whatever it was called at the time of the servers merge.

I wasn't too active anyway, but I'm out of here because of the premium 4th rate/new DLC stuff in general. I'm not going to argue about it, that horse has been beaten already. I'll just acknowledge that I definitely don't like it.I think I might like the PVE server actually.  Cooperative sailing and having fun fighting with friends sounds more fun than raging and searching fruitlessly for pvp for 2 hours only to get surprise ganked and sank in 10 minutes. I think the PVE server fits my enjoyment of lighter vessels more than PVP anyway.

I don't care about the wipe whatsoever though, I mostly sail brigs and corvettes anyway and I don't usually bother with expensive ships or hoarding resources.

There will be always something ANY player doesn't like.

Plus is not hard to be the biggest fish in a small pond.

Gladly we have two servers to fit our styles. Peace server is very "single player" and perfect for any casual chap.

Guess so. Some players like more aspects, others enjoy other aspects. A lot of players enjoy total war pvp. Others would love full safety. Developers gave those two options at least. Full pvp and full safety, War and Peace.

Regarding Forum Rules read them again and stick to good game discussion and there will absolutely no issues, like thousands of players that use the forum well know. :)
