Battle_Tested Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 I am having no problem logging into game and even playing OW or battles, but within 5 minutes of being on, my computer locks up with frozen screen and no keyboard or mouse inputs. Before anyone says its my computer, I play many more demanding games than NA like Eve Online on Ultra settings and have no problems with them. I used to play NA on this exact computer with no problems all the time, but then i reinstalled the game after noticing a new update. I have reinstalled the game multiple times, verified the integrity of the files, turned all graphics to lowest minimum settings and turned off sound but cant keep from locking up after just a few minutes, I cant do an error or crash log due to my computer completely locking up forcing me to do a hard reboot. My specs are as follows: AMD fx 9590 black edition 8 core processor AMD r9 290x graphics card 16 gigs ram 64 bit windows 7 home edition i have the latest drivers for all devices Direct X 11 I use MS Afterburner Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
Ink Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 Captain, as the first step, could you please temporary turn off MS afterburner and test the game without it?

Ferrus Pugnum Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 Check your cpu and gpu temperatures. In the last two weeks, my laptop w an Nvidia 1070 in it has started to lock up. The game is forcing extremely high temp on cpu and gpu and I have to manually turn fans up to compensate. Your ship will get stuck and not respond. your ping will go to zero. after all the ships around you vanish and a couple of minutes pass by you get a message stating "returning to open world" and you are back at sea with everything back to normal. The odd thing is chat is still working for most of the time. I have f11'd the issue but some of it must be due to optimization issues with Nvidia and other chips. This did not happen before the last couple of weeks and all my fans are working fine with good airflow.
Kopelent Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 I have also many crashes since the last couple naval action updates. Using Nvidea 1080 TI. Battlefield 5, X-plane 11 are running fine over many many hours. Only Naval Action are freezing.
