Liq Posted March 3, 2019 Posted March 3, 2019 As per title Nassau patrol seems to be the only popular daily patrol area Perhaps due to convenience, cheap ships and the area being close by to ports so little sailing is required 8
z4ys Posted March 3, 2019 Posted March 3, 2019 when its every other day people will divide more between the days and it will be less participant per day.

Id probably visit it every day at least once, compared to when other patrol areas are up and I know they're most likely empty 1
Irenicus Posted March 3, 2019 Posted March 3, 2019 I'd say make Nassau the stable.. Every day for the frigate corneisseur!
Hullabaloo Posted March 3, 2019 Posted March 3, 2019 Please no. The rest of the map is dead on Nassau days as it is and there is already Deadmans Cay too, so its pretty much every other day already.

Which raises the question as to why is Deadmans Cay PZ so empty as it is basically the same as Nassau, just a bit further South? Edit: To tell the truth, I believe the Nassau PZ is so popular because the Brits own Nassau, and so one of the largest populated nations have easy access to the zone. I know personally I never had an outpost in that region till the Brits captured Nassau and I think it is the same for many others. I only started doing Nassau Patrol when I opened an outpost in Nassau. Edited March 3, 2019 by Archaos

Well, if people cant be bothered to sail the extra 5 mins to get to Deadmans then there can't really be a huge demand for more shallow patrols then

I think it's due to having a free port, shroud cay, basically an one minute sail away, and therefore is accesible for everyone rather easily can be that 5 min extra sailing to deadman's is already too much 1
Barbancourt Posted March 3, 2019 Posted March 3, 2019 Perhaps "Deadmans Cay" zone isn't well known. When I saw it for the first time the other day I thought they'd just renamed the Nassau zone. They're all stupid mindless gankery anyhow.

Maybe we should address patrol zones in general and question if there are too many? or I wonder if the Devs could give us some statistics on which patrol zones are used the most.
AeRoTR Posted March 3, 2019 Posted March 3, 2019 There are too many for sure! Nassau is near shroud freetown, cheap ships, most popular patrol. Do not forget shroud drops repairs! Would love to have additional 4 outpost slots just for freetowns. I never understood 8 outpost limitation, what does it hurt to have more?

But I agree it is a mixture of small things that make the difference.
Tiedemann Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 The guys I play with reported that deadmans cay patrol is empty 2-3 times in a row, so I'm not sailing down there to verify that. They also reported no AI ships in the area, so nothign to pass the time with either. Please just do Nassau x2. Most players have port, ships and supply in close proximity to the Nassau Patrol and that ensures a low effort to sail out. I like Nassau patrol, please give me more of it! xD 2
