How do you get cash to buy stuff?

(You got me; I should have written eco/PvE)

I've been able to craft ships and mods to be almost on top of things as far as being competitive is concerned. If I didn't set up my own crafting universe I would be out of cash within 5 average "go out and risk it" sessions. Eco (crafting, not trade goods hauling) is actually the lesser evil compared to PvE grinding, so I chose that.

I bet you guys think I'm being a smartass for the sake of it. I'm not. I AM a smartass, but it's not for the sake of it. With the loss of my xp and craft level I'm frantically searching for ways to endure things I can't really endure in order to keep my presence here. I love NA and I'm desperately searching for sustainable ways of making it despite my utter and bottomless distaste towards pve and eco. Seriously, pls halp!

Well with the new changes, would it not be possible for a guy like you to make enough combat medalions to buy ships and upgrades, without have to craft/trade?

dlc is the obvious bypass to your issue , you don't even have to do anything other than vend the ships to the shop to be given currency, which could then be used by you to do with as you will

When I last saw the vendor price for a dlc ship ( which I understand was / is x amount) that you can vend or use everyday ? It seemed to be the perfect answer for those who don't want to participate in that part of the game. Not sure if this is the answer you are looking for though

Everyone seems fine with pushing out pure-PvPers by forcing eco on them, but the minute PvP is required there is an uproar!?

I LOVE that some things are behind a PvP wall, it sends an appropriate message to all who choose war server.

You know what is amazing in your reasoning?

That you (as any other experienced PVP player) would win in any case a fight against a PVE player in the same ship.

So the only "message" you can read in the fact that the "best" (not just "some") things are behind pure PVP wall, is some like "PVP are elite, the rest is crap, so please buzz off".

Even though this kind of message may be healing for some players' ego (and I'm not referring to you personally), I am wondering if it may be also a good message for a game that would like to increase the number of players in the view of the final launch.

Being honest, I have some doubts.

So you are forced into eco? That's boring indeed for a fighter like you, but does being forced in buying or harvesting some materials and in crafting some ships imply the risk to loose your best ships, upgrades and stuff? No. So it's not the same as forcing a PVE player into PVP, I guess.

And, again: if the game ends up scaring off every carebear of the server, it's clear that the fighters will be compelled to engage themselves into eco stuffs. So, again, is it really a wise choice - also for PVP players - to put all the (crafing of the) best ships behind a PVP wall?

You can make it also in patrol Solo patrol

You seem quite new, here ... so you still have to learn that this community has a lot of paranoid ideas. And this is just one of them.

Tmake it possible to pick up loot from ships at the end of the battle. With new damage, it is very difficult and dangerous to find a moment to stop at the sunken ship, especially in group missions. Whoever destroyed the ship, let him get the loot if he was not taken before.

@admin despite having an outpost in the port, I canno take delivery missions.

The description says it requires either a ship or a Warehouse, but can't take the mission unless I take the ship.
As soon I buy the Basic Cutter I can claim the mission, put the letter to the WH, and sell the cutter back.

The best is every player get the doubloons after the battle

This doubloon looting system is only good for a ganking fleet.

not only doubloons, there are books and modifications for the ship, which are also needed by new players. Repairs will also be useful at the end of the battle, when you have already spent yours.

All ship notes were temporarily removed from the admiralty for further balancing

btw @admin, it seems that you also added the Wasa Blueprint among the available blueprints, a ship one couldn't accessed to on the PvE server, but not L'Hermione blueprint. Is it deliberate or an oversight ?

Why would you want to take a mission just to store the item in your warehouse?

There are DLC and Admiralty items you can buy.  To be honest the best way for you toe not have to worry about econ stuff is get folks in your clans that like to  trade and do econ/crafting stuff. Oh but you can't have that if your a hard core PvPer right?   Than don't bitch if you have to do econ stuff cause you killed all the PvERs/Casuals and ran them off to the PvE servers.   I have always allowed pure crafters and trade players in my clans.  They even some times turn out to be half decent at PvP when given a chance too.

Instead of farming the capital waters you could recruit those guys and get them to farm AI for your clan.  You k now this is a PvE/PvP game after all, so you will have to PvE once in a while.

We had PvP marks in the past, was removed for reasons, now they returned again? I just don't understand this anymore, really...

Why no combat medals after sinking a player?

Do I really have to do those kill 10 guys in this specific ship? Come on, it will take too much to complete.

We only get 10 missions slots, I can't take up half my mission slots cause I want to cover PvP kills.  They really need to make it just per 10 players or do it by class.   10 Lights, Frigates, SOL you get reward.  Not per rate as that could be 5-6 missions just on it's own.  As you might be holding onto a missions for a long time just trying to find that one 2nd rate kill to cash it in.

If combat medals are not earnt for all type of PvP, just tell me why doing PvP?

If combat medals can just be earnt in one patrol zone only, just tell me why having a Open World and not simply an arena?

I won't go to Patrol Zone, no one will tell me how to play in this sandbox OW game. If I can't get these "medals" outside of patrol zone, I'll quit playing after 3 years.

Same for me. This patrol area is far from my capital. The limit of number of outposts, the constraints for economy, the necessitiy of always having one spare outpost for RvR reason prevents me to add one. No solution for me and for several clan mates. If I can't play Naval Action properly, I won't play Naval Action or make another break, until this is solved

PvP marks were removed, at least two times, being a failure. We just have to wait this fourth currency of the game to fail again, for the third time

I agree...

...but getting medals for every OW Kill, will point a big crosshair on every newbie sailing in OW and we would end up with sealclubbing new players...and drive them out of the game :(

maybe thats the reason for the restriction ?

But instead of tweaking, i would say, get rid of those medals completly !
