i dont like that with that woods.

its better when you have to upgrade your port to different levels (1-50)

example:

level 1 small trading port

level 2 (you can buy mahogany)

level 3 (you can buy bermuda)

................

level 25 you can buy sabicu

................

level 30 you can buy teak

..............

level 35 you can buy cargurian

....................

level 40 you can buy live oak

......

level 45 you can buy white oak

.................

level 50 you can buy cartagena tar

when the enemy captures the port they have the same level and can buy all that stuff.

All ports are useless after the new update. With this change, it makes sense again to take the ports

Two things I saw or heard about during the weekend and yesterday.

On Saturday, I was unable to close an outpost to open another one, even being in capital or in this outpost. Made F11 about it.

Yesterday, some clan mates tried to do a group kill mission. They finally were unable to launch it. I don't have details, sorry for that, but I never do missions of any type.

you have to write 190116 for closing a port

This just needs to be mentioned in game.

it is in the game. you are probably using the custom file that is not updated (yet) by the community creator.

I use everything default in game and it states that I have to type "190116" to close a port. And this is not a big deal, but a clan member had German language and this text was missing for him. where it says 190116 in my version, was just empty for him.

So made it very hard for him to close the port when he was writing "close" 🤣

In the light of current changes 10k wallet Dubloons limit looks like an obstacle for no reason. If I have to pay 75k for WO and can carry only 10k looks weird. Previously the biggest price was like 9,5k? Doesn't matter if I can use my warehouse dubloons as well.

I know, I know, I'm not the biggest fan of being able to teleport stuff around, but you can carry the needed dubloons in your hold?

Was that not the point of the limit? You can keep some dubloons safe in your chest, but bulk needs OW-transport? I think it is a positive that people would have to sail with dubloons onboard (but many will just create an outpost probably (I would) or use a friend to make the transaction?). Same reasoning as the one for the woods that need to be shipped to the craftinghub? (thus creating more, possibly worthwhile, targets/jackpots?)

If he wants to use the custom german language file he has to update it manually

In this case the you (not owning the resource) will be less compelled to capture them. If they change every week you just sit and wait instead of going for them. If resources change every week, you also will feel less compelled to defend them - because what's he point to defend if they are going to disappear and maybe be found in your other port.

Maybe have the port consume so much per day.  Doesn’t have to be much and can slowly fill contracts too. That will keep folks from sitting on some ports, but if they where wide just buy all the stock and than sale for profit and the rest goes into clan storage.  Convey the mats to a port they have the clan warehouse in.

Shame that clan doesn't receive % of dubs from the purchases done. Only advantage is having the control over friend list but we are losing the tax incomes we used to have with the contracts.

They can always sale it in port by contracts to make that money since the tax goes back to the clan any way.

Please admin. The current prices for harvesting those woods are just way too much.

25000 doubloons if I want to craft a sabicu-sabicu first rate... Come on.

Indeed. I've given up on trying to make it on my own with rare stuff. I'm going to try with oak ships and see how it feels to play the gankbox with ships that can fight but not reliably dictate the terms of any fight. Sigh, I'm anxious because I have a lot of past experience that leads me to expect it's going to suck, but I could be wrong.

I'll also join a proper clan because solo viability is at the lowest it's ever been. It's all according to plan, but I don't trust anti-alt-clan-enabling Fangorn forests and all that jazz to be a positive influence on mid- to long term recruitment and retention.

I've always wanted a frigate-trinco-connie like DLC so I could leave the eco play to the eco weirdos, the desire is extremely acute now.

That's a good change to make them popular again. Nice.

Did you in return fix it so all (up to 3) group members get dragged into the mission? Because doing them alone is already hard enough.

The partial fix was applied - it will be easier to get in. Full fix this or next week.

You do realize you made the Indefat superfluous now  since Agamemnon does the job as 4th rate much better and we dont have a heavy 5th anymore ?

The firepower argument btw misses the use of poods. Aga eats both Connie and Indefat for breakfast.

Sry, but I can't see any reason to change the old classifications.

Indef eats any other 5th rate for breakfast aswell. It is way closer to aggy and conni than to the most other 5th rates.

Distance modifiers removed from repairs and some resources for upgrade crafting

What does this mean? Is this combat related or economy? I'm sorry for the stupid question but I don't understand what distance modifier is/was with repairs.

Thats normal for the best in class. But being the best of the 5th doesnt make it a 4th.

After all, being the best of the 4th didnt make Agamemnon a 3rd. (Connie is no 3rd anyways.)

By your reasoning the now best of the 5th is than to be promoted in next hotfix  ?

The increase in difficulty for group missions has me scratching my head.  They are already impossibly difficult for 90% of the players in this game.  Only an elite player can take on SOLs with 5th rates.  And before the members of this forum tell me how easy they are..keep in mind that 90% of players are not participating in these forums.
