Battle UI:

I see that you kept L & R on our damage indicators ….  C'mon @admin, it's gotta be P & S.  Make us all proper sailors!

The hit counter (top centre of screen) is way too small.  I actually had to look for it and it doesn't stand out.  There is plenty of room out there and this is one of the more important indicators.  It doesn't stay up for long so we need to see it easily without taking too much attention away from our other tasks (maneuvering etc).

Hit counter can be placed bellow timer or even better down near the buttons UI cause is really confusing beeing shure if you hit or not and when you look up there you lose your aim and awareness in battle... That annoys me a lot

I think you can adjust the size in the options? but it will increase the size of everything not just the hit counter.

"Port" is short 4 letters just like "left". By deduction the opposite must be starboard. I'd personally prefer proper terminology. Despite ppl not being used to proper terminology, ya'll are still beasts at the game. :)

I'm not asking for "Abaft the Beam" here , or Red and Green (yes we use it)  Just P&S.  Or Port & Stbd.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to change all sizes.  Devs need to do this, not the options menu.

I don't like fire from bow from stern. Rolling front and rolling back sound cooler. Is there a reason you changed this?

I also think it was better when the words reload shock, rigging shock etc appeared. I know what the symbols mean because I know when you get difference shocks but it will be confusing for new players. Overall I really like the battle UI.

I like the new UI. Only criticism is that the indication of hits on the top of the screen is to small. I am a little old and my eyes are not as good as they where 30 years ago. It would be very nice to have those important information in a larger typing.

This happens to me as well- after using control and chat box then going to single fire with space bar- other windows will pop up in center of screen.

can you guys write the exact steps to reproduce the bugs (specific actions you did to have this problem appear) 
We are trying to find it but were not successful so far.

i cant see the info anymore when a ship is sunk in battle chat

Only problem that I have right now is that we cannot decrease UI scale, only increase it. And yeah, I agree, it should be Port & Starboard instead of Left and Right.

Also, I never understood why you guys still keep that terrible black line on the top screen with useless data information displayed. Can't it simply be turned off or something? Get a cleaner screen. Decreasing scale UI would also clean a lot more the screen. 

 

There should be an option to turn off the map in battle instance, leave just the combat UI + be able to decrease the ship knots/sails and information scale down with the menu option, like everything gets smaller.

I like to purpose some modifications and additions.

1) Change of gun icons layout like picture below, grouping battle and survival icons together and putting cannons in proper shape of the ship.

2) Very important ! Big warning messages for FIRESHOCK/LEAKING/RELOAD SHOCK etc. Not only as a icon but a big warning message. A sailor shouting "Fireshoock" "Rigging Shock captain! etc.

3) Implentation of if battle is closed, if battle is still open for which side. ( funny I have to check felix map to see and calculate ship BR when in battle)

4) Selecting the map during battle instance, map remembers to show ship stats on or off. I need to see ship hp etc., it used to be like that before.

I do partially agree with 1) that guns should be grouped like that. Amount of guns is wrong in your suggestion (look like you have 12 bow- and sternchasers now :-). Please rotate damage indicator (top left) 90 degrees to the left, so bow is in front, stern is in back: makes it very obivous. Stances should stay the way they are now and not split. 

I do fully agree with 2) that important messages should be displayed at your screen and your crew must say words according to what happenend.

I do fully agree with 3), that battle opening timer and BR rating should be displayed in battle. Maybe add an indicator of joinable zones in screen and/or in the map as well (to see where allies and enemies are able to join). 

I do fully agree with 4). More options, more variations, more happy people.
