Capturing gold ships from AI

Just captured a purple trader snow from AI, did not know that was even a thing to capture anything but 3/5.

That makes me wonder what's the chances of capturing a gold ship from an AI?

I captured a gold trader snow, this is the second one I have captured, the first was on the test server.

My clan mate captured a gold LGV a couple of weeks ago, I've had a couple of purple ones. I've never seen a gold frigate from AI though. Has anyone ever captured one?
