Can we get Just our flags on OW?

When we get to that spot or future models for ships can we have th OW models gun ports shut not left open?

I think it would be great for people who have bought the Flag DLC to see their flags more often. Everyone else can have their same old nation flags, I have an arrangement of flags for different occasions, one for my clan, one for speeches, and one for when I take my fireship on her maiden voyage that I lost ages ago and never got back.

i presume it was the time factor what was making it impossible. well, that's an eye-opener.

How about letting any nation use any flag with the DLC. We have Pirates sailing the santisima and the U.S. sailing the victory so I don't think historical accuracy is a issue. In fact it makes more sense that they stole a flag and raised a false flag.

That was one feature I liked about POTBS.  If you captured a ship with a clan flag or other nation flag on it.  You can keep that flag on that ship until either it's sunk (of course ship lost too) or you change the flag. I had a few ships I never changed flags on cause I had a clans flag we fought a lot on it and it was an eye sour to see me show up with that ship and their clan flag on it.  Maybe in the future or make it more a pirate thing?

It was common to see ships returning with their prize flying both the victor's and the vanquished nations colours, the victors flag over the vanquished from the Gaff hoist. This denoted the victors supremacy and showed the fleet that the ship was a prize and from which nation it was captured from. 

It is the reason that national flags are always flown at an equal height  and never both on the same flag pole one over another.
