"There are three kinds of falsehoods: lies, damned lies, and statistics."

What he is saying is that depending on play-style, the stats will be different...

Privateers will have far different stats than PvP Zoners who play for an hour a day strictly in the zone...

This only says that if you have very high KD ratio you have been ganking or sinking nubs?

What other open world games do is instead give zones that are safe and that folks aren't forced to PvP or be farmed.  You know the best way to stop such things is to not give them prime grounds to do such.  The "SAFE GANK ZONES" are the biggest joke in the world, all they have done is bread more and more folks that just go for the easy kill instead of fighting each other.  Not to mention how long have guys been asking for proper ROE in the PvP Zone Events?  PvP should be something folks go do to have fun and fight each other, not be forced into when doing there every day events to craft and make ships/money.  Yes there should be risk in this game, but the whole map shouldn't be risk.   Any good game has safe zones/High Security and Danger Zones/Low Security.   Something we have completly failed at doing is protecting the majority of our players.

@adminYou can black out the names but can we have that same list with the most Deaths so we can compare the PvP kills that the most folks that get killed get?  You need to show all the numbers not just the ones that tell one side of the story.  We have no interest in the players name, but the numbers.

Liq has been multiple times asking balanced RoE for Patrol Zones. I have understood that your PvP Zones have been gank zones.

None is fighting even fights, the game is what it is.

You are saying that raw factual data should not be used to improve the game?

We all do. Some guys want Patrol Zones.

Others want nothing to do with them.

Is so so so simple to accept. And here we are, all sharing the same game.

It also shows that life of the PVE player is not dangerous at all on the War server. With many top pve players not sinking at all over the last month.

You play? When you are facing Ram, Moscalb, Reverse, Alucard, Banished etc. then  tell me if it is dangerous or not. These are more dangerous than a piranha on a bidet.😉

A lot of people are not doing PvP right now because we're looking for doubloons like crazy. The simplest and safest thing is to obtain them doing PvE. That a Consti costs 3600 doubloons, and from there up, because the people are not very for the work of risking ships that if you lose them God knows when they will have an equal one again. And another thing, most people have an age, and we work. I see that there are players who in a month have been in 400 battles or more. That is within the reach of few. Most of us have 2-3 hours of play per day. Think a little about this type of player. Could the game be compensated in some way for both types of players? Thank you.

Please share the spreadsheet! I'd love to go through that data!

I'll be honest kinda want to see how bad I suck compared to others....lol

My perception is much OW PvP consists of Requins and Hercs hunting noobies.  It would be good to see the data behind this list to show the various ships used on both sides.

This spreadsheet pretty much tells me that the same group of vets are predominantly the ones getting the most kills, over and over.  The same data could be achieved by just looking at the leaderboard.  Nothing new.  I would however like to see the ratio of kills in the zones vs ratio of kills outside it.  I'd also be curious to see what the predominant ship type used to get these kills.

What this sheet really tells us is that this game is desperately hurting for players and more competition.

Also with @Polish Privateer being top on all 3 lists, I'm curious when the last time he saw daylight was?

An interesting tidbit of info that we did gain from these screenshots was that @Intrepido (Alejandro) is indeed every inch the carebear we knew him to be!  Sorry bud   🙂

Not sure if this is facetious or not, but you're kinda right.

The game is heavily dependent on individual ability and the skill gap is so high that it is almost insurmountable for a new/average player to advance.  Which is one of the reasons why we seem to not have many of them around and they almost always fizzle out.

In other OW MMO games of this type, being able to fend off a 1v2 or even a 1v3 is a feat, but excellent players can do it.  If you look at some of Ram's screenshots it's sometimes 1v5 or 1v6.  This is perhaps one of the only games where this is possible.  Numbers and sheer damage taken would swamp a player in other games.  Obviously this is an apples to oranges view, but you get my meaning.  And while I think I enjoy this game just for that very reason, it does not make it appealing to new players and will never grow as a result.

TLDR - multiple repairs hurt this game more than help it.

gib 1v1 and 3v3 ranked rooms, and let OW PvP be for rvr fleets, ow hunting fleets, trader hunting and ganking fleets

I get that the OW should be a gank fest, but these patrol zones are sometimes as bad or even worse.  They've just been turned into doubloon damage farming zones.

yeah I was having a fun 1v1 the other night (both snows) and 5 guys jumped in on the other side.  Fun over, just surrender or run out of the circle.

But you can't really blame them can you?  The game encourages this behavior.  Farming PVP Zone for doubloons is now the best way to get them since RNG drops were nerfed.

That's what I've been doing recently.  When players of different nations all join on the easy side against me, I just head for the circle and suicide.

I don't blame them at all.  That's the current rule.  I wish it would get fixed though.  I would have stayed in the fight if a single player had joined.  Maybe die...maybe get a great win...maybe get reinforced.  But against 6 guys and 3 of them Reqs?  Bail out and go get my next "throw away" snow.  I can get 2000D from the Nassau zone with the loss of maybe 1 or 2 Mahogany/Sab Snows with basic mods. Easy math.  Oh, and they're insured.

Lol i find it funny how players are feeling the need to justify themselves here for not being on the leaderboard

Jeez take a chill pill, its a game, you got othet Stuff to do in real life is totally fine. No need to prove anything to anybody

Besides, that board has very little to 0 meaning since it doesnt show the battle circumstances.

Probably better to not have such a leaderboard ingame in an MMO surrounding. Promotes players needs and desire to advance in it by any means, alias enforces ganking and Running away for one's life.

Leaderboard in a tournament (e.g. duel tourney if its ever gonna happen?) could work tho

Skill gap was higher before.

In other games 1v2 and 1v3. In Naval Action 1v5 and 1v6. This is exactly what happens when the game is broken, out of balance.

We had it before that good players were able to get 1v2 and 1v3 kills. Admin posted AFTER that they changed the game to make it possible to 1v2 and 1v3. They decreased the skill gap, introduced gear and unbalanced mechanisms. More players started to 1v2 and 1v3. Admin even made a post to inform this. Suddenly players that were able to get 1v2 and 1v3 started to get 1v4-8 victories. Ram Dinark was a good PvP player in 2016.

@admin can go through forum archive. Sure you can find my post. I warned you from this shit that you made.

I watched a few portbattles of the US and the mainproblem is probably the lack of skilled pvp players that show US players how to play the game in pvp TBH.

90% of the playerbase doesn't understand basic rules of NA by the way

There is usually no PVP to be/get skilled in :D during US prime

Yes pve on war server is easy & riskless, mostly because the server population is quite low, and entire zones are deserted.

But what i see here is that top pvpers have incredibles k/d ratio, meaning they probably only engage in battles won from the ow and refuse risky fight.

The only top pvper from the list that i know he don't refuse any fight (dizzwhoo) is also one of the worst k/d (still very good imo), not a surprise for someone i remember as never refusing a fight even outnumbered and solo pvper in large ship.

Next to that when i see that someone achieve 259kills (even if 200 pve) for zero death, this show how it is totally possible to plays 100% riskless and that something is wrong.

I'm totally a casual , but when i jump in a combat between an Hermione fighting an ai reno in my niag, and the player refuse the fight & run away and escape to chase me outside with 3 friends... when i go at the nassau patrol and look at 4 hercules from 4 nation not engage each others but wait for an instance to stack on, i really wonder how peoples fear any risk & challenge ^^
