Can we still craft provisions from fish?

In the past, fish could be crafted to food supplies  which could be crafted to provisions (using barrels). I can’t find any way to do this now with barrels gone. Am I missing something? Can you only get provisions now from a farm and can only just sell fish to the NPC?

Not anymore, all you need is fish mean. Sell the salt.

Thank goodness.  175 salt per Provision was ridiculous, and seemed like they were trying to make salt into a currency.
