Max BR limit for shallow port battle is now 110 (which makes Prince the highest BR ship that can enter port battles)

Will this become an issue as BR limits are subject to change?

@admin ON the server screen I clicked on the notes and it has some code error looking stuff before the test.  Like what you would use for spaces and color and such (I'm not fancy with code).   Might want to check that.

I have a simple explanation.

You see the old information text, because the server has not yet been updated.

Admin stated highest br allowed in shallow pbs is 110 now and that blocks requins from entering.

Read the notes babe 😚

That means that all players receive 2000 PvP marks???

Crafting wise, you can barely craft a 3rd rate with 2k doubloons.

We don't know the conversion rate for them yet or cost of things.  That could be like 10 PvP marks for all we know.

@admin i suggested it a few times, but if you could complete the Port UI with gunports locked, anchor dropped and the ships you have in the dockyard anchored outside the harbor it would be much more immersive, not to be harsh but it feels kind of "light" with only 1 ship showing.

Cant wait to get home to try it out though :D

Please consider lowering BR for shallow PBs as some ports will now require 25 Princes etc. to fill them up. Also I have no idea why Gunboat has 50BR! It should have much less...

Some of the ports should have 25 ships. I'm sorry we have to many ports that only have 5-6 ships which are important ports.  Why shouldn't a nation have a chance to get 25 ships into a port battle.  Though I do agree some of the shallow ports actually have had BR way over 25 of the top shallow ships, but reallly a lot of ports need BR check cause in deep we have way to many ports around the 2500 range and some of them are very key econ ports.  They should have higher BR's.  While the less important ports that don't reallly have much should have the low BR's.

2. That combat mark conversion...ooof

combat marks = reals
but we are providing 2000 doubloons to cover the initial altercations and misunderstandings on combat marks.

eventually the port BR limit should depend on tax income (tax goes up - BR goes up)
in a couple of hot fixes we are planning to lower costs of timers and port infrastructure maintenance - we want average port to be money neutral or profitable overall across caribbean.

Hmmm interesting would like to test this for sure, but maybe it should be average weekly tax or something cause some ports might make only money once every three days (when folks do trade/econ runs and buy stuff).  So some one might attack on the off days when BR is low.  Also would be nice if we had more port option for owning clan.  Pay for extra forts or even increese in BR with your tax's so it feels like they are going to something usefull instead of limbo.

Remember the numbers on testbed where told to us that they aren't close to real numbers.  So we don't know what it will cost until the patch is live.......until than we can beg for paints right?

I specifically pointed 25 Princes, as Prince is the highest BR. How does that make PBs any good or immersive, varied? It won't be any better than 25 Requins or 25 Heavy Rattles that we had in the past.

#NoShallowMeta

#VariedShips

I still don't know why the prince has more BR than the H Rattler, I honestly liked the old BR system that had set BR's.   Pretty much the Prince, H Rattler, Mortar Brig and Niagara should all have the same BR.  They where very well balanced for shalllow water fights with most having a good mix of all three and some Navy Brigs thrown in before these DLC ships showed up.  Though I'm just happy the Req isn't in shallow PB's any more.

So do vic marks convert over to doubloons?   Or did I miss that part

They didn't do anything new, but I suggested it as they kinda only can be used for very little before hand other than convert into CM and 1st rate Permits.

yes exactly like that.. gradual change of BR limits based on average tax rates for example for the last week.
