Combat marks and PvP marks are now the same thing (doubloons.) You get them for sinking players or sometimes you can loot them in ships. Fantastic and wrong. Shipyard requires 1k for lvl 2 and 5k for level 3. You probably opened academy as well or spend those doubloons elsewhere (or put them to warehouse) 3

I could build those things before as standard, now I HAVE to have an Academy and a Workshop just to return to my previous crafting abilities... Also, I had all 10 buildings and got 6k, there are people saying they got 12-14k extra doubloons....any reason for that? Edited October 31, 2018 by Kartaugh

We don't think its reasonable to compensate for something that did not exist I still dont get how you lost 8000 doubloons if you lost none (you spent 6k on buildings and spent 2k on academy) - which cant really count as lost.

One of the reasons I left previously was that the devs consistently failed to act on player feedback... has this changed? I just figured it was the accepted way things were at this point. @admin honestly if you want to really test out the new economy, I vote for wiping everything. Put everybody back at zero. Enough folks are bitching anyway you might as well go whole hog. 4

You can only get compensation for buildings you had before the patch. I doubt you had this building before the patch. Several new buildings were introduced this patch - its in the patch notes. Reals were applied to your account. If you had a shipyard lvl 3 you also received 6k for every lvl 3 shipyard you had. Only shipyard required doubloons and thats why people are talking about doubloons compensation (people who had shipyard).

I can only see the 2000 dubloons that everyone gets. To get my shipyard to level 2 now requires 1000 dubloons and the get it to level 3 requires 5000 dubloons, so I am still basically 4000 dubloons short and that is not counting the reals cost for the upgrade.

I'm a tad anxious but I'm trying to hold still until we know more. I was wrong, only minor tuning and fixes are pending.

Enough folks are bitching anyway you might as well go whole hog. Testbed made this patch 100x better. 100s of bugs were fixed because of player feedback and we always relied on player feedback. But many people only think about their own agenda and think ship data corruptions are less important than their opinion on teleport fees. Economy will be wiped 2 times AT LEAST so we don't need to worry about it now. 5
