So basically we pve to get the "phat loot."

I'm not against that, but when i look at you getting 996 gold and a pvper gets 8 gold from killing a renomee, there is some interesting disparity to work with here.

Indeed.  Additionally, if you can get that kind of loot, you can buy all the sexy mods

@admin

Recalculate compensation please.

Rule: volume of valuable ingame items which i can bought before patch == volume of valuable ingame items which i can buy now.
you can use for calculate for example: hull repairs, labor contracts, pvp modules and books.

you left your players without pants now ((

You haven't even seen what it cost to buiild a ship vs buy a note.  9K for a Bellona knot, but I need the mats and 4k to craft a Bellona not to mention all SOL permits cost like 1-3 VM's too.

And what the hell does Academy building do that it's worth 2K dabloons?

Economy completely screwed.

Maybe we should wait for the rest of our redeemables and test a bit before we make ridiculous statements like that.

Pvp marks saved this game and made pvping a very viable pass time with no grinding required. I dont see the motive behind axing pvp rewards so severely.

I suppose if larger ships are more expensive, capturing prizes in pvp will be more worth doing? We will see how that plays out.

Hmmpf!...

From my perspective doing casual patrol zone will be pay 10 for teleport and gain 10 for 20k damage. I will only net for kills which I am then able to get to port. I think I will reserve the right to low-key whine about that.

Patrol rewards will be updated tomorrow. they use old coins

#SOON

Some time today doesn't help when some of us only have a few hours to test things before having ot get to bed for work tonight.  It would be nice if they told us this in the patchnotes so we don't freak all out.

Good news is: Random Fire Mode still exists. I can't imagine how bad fighting would be without it.

/sarcasm off

I actually use it when I'm broad side to broad side with some one under 100M as it gets more hit box hits for crew and cannons when you fire a full broadside.

no you dont. We all know what many pvp players do - some hunt pve players
PvP players also can get loot from pvp players… It can happen.
Its just now they have to carry it back home - in hold and risk it..

All ship matter now.. Even that small cutter can carry 15000 doubloons.

The basic disconnect seems to be the low rewards for killing other players now.  People are already pulling in lots of Doubloons on PVE, but are only getting a few for PVP.  @admin is this a shift in policy?

PvP is about loot and conquest, no need to reward it even further. Removal of PvP marks is great.

Having high TP cost is even better. I won't complain even it was removed completely.

  • People may eventually sail somewhere instead of spending their times beaming up between ports and arranging their inventories, waiting for a fight calls. More OW content.
  • It will create hot zones, frontiers of conflict with possibilities of lots of action.
  • Map will have more meaning, ports as well.
  • More strategic planning and preparation will be needed for conquests, which much better than TP,  jump on Lotion and start shooting. I love immersion and it will be great to have tme for OW pvp, which is the best content in the game.

If we are going to see less and less 1st rates in game it will be the best patch ever!

Keep up good work developers!

PvP marks gave the PvP player a currency to buy ships/cannons/upgrades/etc from other players. Now PvP players get the same amount of doubloons as they would pvp marks (8-12 for frigate kill) while other players are getting 900+ doubloons for PvE missions. This is not balanced and I hope it gets fixed

Or Players say "oh look, there is PvP.... but i can't afford going there, takes too much time. So i better log off".

Please think about all the players who just want to have 60-90min of a nice game and return to real life.

I was until I got home and it finaly updated and I still don't have half my redeemables so I can get things set back up. I might as well just go to bed and wait and deal with it this weekend.  Maybe the new computer parts will show up soon and I get to put that together.

AND WHY DO PORTS NOT TELL YOU IN THE MAP WHAT THEY PRODUCE?  I DON'T WANT TO SALE TO EVERY PORT TO SEE WHAT THEY PRODUCE SO I CAN SET UP A BUILDING.   That is if any thing changed or should I use a third party app to find this stuff out?

OH and capitals should always be free to teleport back too.
