Sparkydog Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 Give us back regular missions that I can do when I'm only on for an hour. I don't want to sail deep into enemy waters each time and get sucked into a 1.5 hour battle. Sometimes I have to go to work or go to bed or my wife is yelling at me. 2

You do have them. 7th-6th rates in the capitals and Kill missions for other rates somewhere in other national ports. Sail there the previous day. Next day operate from there. Have the exact same issue as you present, and sailing to other ports ( usually i switch 3 outposts per week to different parts of the empire ) gives me enough missions ( have a list of 10 between kill and hunt/S&D ) to do when i have little time. Don't want to sound rough, but plan your naval campaign. Some days are just a voyage. Others are more action. Hope you don't take this opinion on the wrong foot.

With the new NPC arrangement- sometimes I can sail the length of the US coast and not have anything to shoot at. The whole coast is empty. That's when the game gets boring.i like the new missions but not sure what was wrong with the old ones either.

You can always pull out of port there and start shooting...

I don't want to play on the PVE server - even if I have only an hour to play, I want it to be able to contribute to my PVP game- so when I do have a while to pvP, I have cash and reps and ships and upgrades. If I get jumped on my own coast so be it- that's an exciting part of the game. Likewise, I do have ports in the Bahamas, but maybe I don't want to sail a 6-7th rate. I like sailing my Connie and Trinc and prefer to spend time in them. I'm not a peace loving snowflake, If I'm on for a quick fix and I get chased or ganked or somebody jumps my npc fight- so be it. Why wouldn't we want more players sailing around more often and for longer? To get people out of their home waters and out of green zones you need to offer incentives to do so--'not penalize or bore people for staying in them. We need more players in the OW - I think we took two steps forward and one step back with this latest update. Just one sailors opinion. 2

War server using the new model. Peace server should go back to traditional historic owned ports now that you can enter any ports with trade ship and just allow conteacts by all nations or something. Having most the map neutral owned just looks wrong and to me feels like they just got half ass broker solutins to problems. i thinknon war major trade hubs should get mix nation ships and certain regions should always have mix ships to encourage more fights and play in those areas. At this rate we won’t have those either as folks are taking advance of the low numbers and flipping ports. Good luck finding ships when you remove other nations from around the area.

Most missions like kill 20x1st rate should turn into achievements, so it will not consume from 10 slots which we can take missions. There are many missions like kill 7 snow, kill 7 indef, kill 10 Aga, these all should be like achievements. I find some missions like sink 3x7th rate, in 7th rate ship, to be difficult, has 4-5 stars, but funny amount of rewards. Until missions are stabilised (as the seem alpah), please return the fleet missions and combat missions with zero dubloon rewards, as these mindless ai battles were nice group activity. Very good for casuals, to log in and do some battles with friends or alone. I still think removal of fleet missions effected the online numbers. Please nerf AI laser aiming and turning. I can record a video where ai suprise shoots my stern every time, from like 300-500 meters with single balls, it is like 21th century modern gun. Their aiming accuracy should reduce with increasing range.
LeBoiteux Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 (edited) Mission rewards should decrease with the class of the used ship, meaning that : a 7th-6th mission should be more rewarding than a 1st-rate one, using a 7th-Rate in a 5th-rate mission should be more rewarding than using a 5th-Rate. using a Cerberus should be more rewarding than using a Indefatigable in a 5th-rate mission. coolkiller Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 It would be a lot better if there is a list of which ports have which missions. Like a mission search tool or something. Right now people are stuck at certain level missions while they can run a lot higher ones. That being said, prehaps the old system where you can run any level in any port would be good, if a certain nation holds all the 1st rate mission ports the other nations really have a bad PvE chance.
