FLAG OF CLAN.

I really like the flags of nations that will be implemented in the next DLC. Congratulations. But in view of the fact that the game is more directed towards the clans than the nations, have they thought about making a DLC of clan flags? It would be very simple, each clan would design its own flag and send it by e-mail to the DEVS. to be included in a DLC: clan flag. I think it would have very good acceptance. Regards!!!.

NA is a nation vs nation game in a historic context one can play without being in a clan.

Thus, one must be able to play NA without having to see (non historical) clan flags in OW and combat instances if one doesn't want to.

With that in mind, why not...

Flags could be approved by mods and follow set of rules...

Also, nation vs nation you say... Flags don't have to be associated with wars only, why should they? Their goal was recognition and signaling.

The idea in the OP to send it to the Devs would allow some oversight into appropriate historical context.  I can just imagine some of the attempted abuse in this regard.  (the flag of the Kiss My A?? clan would be.....)

I would much rather have a very large collection of historically accurate flags with clans being able to choose one as their own, that their ports could fly aswell on some additional flag pole. I am not sure how to feel about actual custom flags.

It is also a good solution. The case is that each clan (whoever wants to) had its own combat flag.
