It is a pre-patch testing of SOME features.

We do not have the entire scenario.

Cannot rate.

You're kind of right. Just wanted to get general opinions so far. We can do another poll 1 week into release for comparison and for that I'll keep this one open for say a week.

In my head i'd like to have seen a town with the various buildings being represented as they are built. (I.e you'd start with a small town, add a shipyard. You'd then see this shipyard as part of your town as a clickable option. Selecting the shipyard would then open up your shift craft options. You'd see your harbour with your ships in the various docks, you're able to select the ore mine or the oak forest that type of thing

Having said that I like World of Warship harbour direction they've gone with

Initial musings:

1) The ships seem too small in dock, they almost look like toy ships. Initially I thought it might have been the cutter just being small but the scale is off in my opinion and the ships should be scaled up

2) I like the art style and the lettering used in the various pop ups. (I'd like to see more diverse icons but this seems like work in progress)

3) Some bugs: Moving items from warehouse to ship - dragging cannons across to the hold you'll notice a mouse focus issue dragging over the cannon hold. You can also not drop an item to a occupied warehouse square (dragging cannons from ship to warehouse for example)

4) Repairing a ship is done automatically upon clicking the repair icon and the money is taken without notifying the player of cost first. This needs a "are you sure you want to spend x amount of monies repairing your boat" acknowledgment

5) Crafting seems very simple. i.e I don't need to craft cables and howsers and things anymore - is this intentional and indicative of the direction in Live?

6) Flags!! - how exciting!?!

Overall I really like the patch so far. Will continue to test later this evening

This is what is missing. The small icons at the bottom are to small and you have to mouse over them to get an idea of what they do. Instead there should be a town that you build building in as stated above. Each building would have a sign that states its function.

I’m not sold on the missions yet. With hundreds of players that we are hoping to have they will all be competing for the same AI ships and we will have the whole “you stole my kill ( or ai fleet)” problem.

other than that it is taking a little time getting used to it but I do like it.

The interface is slow as balls. That's my chief complaint. I figured the lag in the old interface was due to the fact that it was a tacked-on temporary thing, but the new interface lags just as much.

Strange, I notice it much faster. Maybe has to do with poor server connection to the testbed.

Yea, noticably faster on my end as well.

I love the new crafting in that they've stripped away all that clicking. Let that sink in... jodgi loves the new crafting... Something must be wrong and I need to stop complaining about the crafting bit.

If you're talking about the Testbed server, yes it can take several seconds to display the warehouse, hold or shop contents, and for some odd reason re-renders the whole list when you change only one item. I had hoped that would end with the new UI.
