When moving stuff from ship hold to warehouse and vice versa would be better if you could drag goods to the warehouse/hold icon and drop to put in/transfer.

Would save having to open both to transfer,  which after 100 times could become kinda tiresome :) .

Also when dropping stuff in WH/hold make it default to place new item at bottom and able to just drop on stuff and stacks with stuff in hold/WH already of same type,  scrolling down every time kinda drives me nuts also :D .

So ran into an issue last night @admin. I asked around to see if others have had the same issue and all seem to have come up with similar issues caused by various things. From what I can tell I have all the material and have enough labor hours, yet am unable to produce anything.

I just bugged my crafting, will post in a second

And I think you bugged it  the same way

PS: Re-opening Ship crafting solves issue for me, could you try it out?

@admin

Crafting ship using woods I don't have:

Teak/White Oak

Quote

E910C8CB06B590FD64822C12604367E092C85BE3

Gives Error:

Quote

311A03822B160688260E33BE82096E77978BA109

Does says Not enough Teak Log, but does not says Not enough White Oak Log.

After that this instance of crafting Traders Lynx locks up, and even if I change woods to Fir/Crew Space its still locked up:

Re-opening via double tap on Traders Lynx solved issue. Closing bugged window and re-opening also solved issue

Opening another blueprint while having bugged one open still works fine.

PS: I also made my docks full, that still allows you to hit Craft button but then says "Not enough space in docks"

I was running a char up and it got buggy.  So I closed all windows and reopen them and it worked for me.

Thank you for the "active ship at the end of the pier" when in port.

Outposts button in the fast travel mode is very welcome.

the Tow to Port tied to a complete lock in shallows. I've never been stuck and used that tool as a way to avoid danger.

I expect the Journal to be available in the fast travel mode very soon.

The review of the mass of resources, if are being brought to realistic weight values, are a step forward. Was strange to be able to transport several vessels, in materials, inside one transport vessel. But this is not about UI, sorry.

Keep up the good work. This update is a breeze of fresh air to us players that wish for a long term age of sail game - I know i will never get everything in a few months, so I plan to play for years - and well tied to historical authenticity as possible.

Same issue here. I entered battle outside ocean bight and appeared at little inagua afterwards

Not complaining about it.  Its a good way to avoid the vultures who wait outside your battle to re-tag you.  Don't fix this @admin

Whay you need "Outposts button" in the open sea?

Imagine sitting in the captain's cabin, while travelling, and consulting the log books and other documentation about the outposts.

Can consult what ships are at what outpost, what buildings, and any other information we can see as useful. Of course not information in real time, this is age of sail.

Could also give mail to passing ships heading to an outpost.

Loyal staff at outposts would conduct routine business on your behalf.

When clicking the repair icon in port the repair is actioned instantly without notifying the player of cost first

This needs a notification/warning telling the player how much money the repair will cost with accept/decline function

Strange. I am playing in a omen 15 and I am forced to play with 900p. If I play with 1080p I have problems in reading the words. It is missing a feature to scale the UI.

The more I fiddle with this the less I like the inability to scale the windows.

Maybe it looks fine on a 4k monitor.  But I am really starting to hate it.

Yea, the port view in terms of textures and quality needs a big overhaul.

We will just move the ship further to the sea..

Majority of vessels were stationed in the harbor and were not close to land.

We have no plans to overhaul the textures for ports at this stage as it is not the priority and is not going to be as majority of players care about other things.

A game set to be launched in 2019 cant afford to have graphics of the PS2 era

The interface would be immensely improved if text size and the row height was greatly reduced AND the icons were much, much smaller.

With respect, the general feel of the interface is that it was designed for a very young audience.  No offense intended.

The view of the port with the landscape and city buildings which have poor models, low res textures and are literally out of scale compared to the displayed ship is the biggest let down of this port interface for me.

+1

I would even go as far as to say that more variety in architecture with higher quality texture as well as proper scale and mabye even people in the towns would improve the game more than additional ships that become harder and harder to balance, the more you add.

I think having well modelled and detailed port cities is more important than many might think and it could add a lot to the visuals that are one of the strongest and selling points of the game.

The port town is also the first thing new players see when they start playing and it has a significant impact on the first impression of the game, even when new players don't know all ports look more or less the same with the cookie cutter buildings by then.

No.
Its not going to be the selling point of the game. And it is not going to be important. It is just one of the "good to have in theory things", like the ropes sometimes going through sails, that we will ignore and focus on whats really needed- localization and a great variety of pve and pvp content.

If this variety will make money then we will consider graphical upgrades. But right now its good enough.
Focusing on textures when there is lack of content is a waste. 3d boarding with real soldiers will have 100x effect on the selling points compared to what texture police thinks we should do with good enough port buildings.

My name doesn't fit, even doe there is enough free space for it:

Also, that "Leadership" was at first confusing, I had no idea what it is. I would rename it to something more obvious or give description clouds.

leadership parameter was in game for like 2 years :)

@Borch For that, I need to

1. Right click on the ship

2. Set as Main

3. Click Repair button

Then return back to my original ship (because I want just to repair the fleet ship)

So many steps for 1 single task.

I don't think so.  When you have you 'Navy" open, just left click on a ship and if it need repairs, click on the icon.  There is a red exclamation mark by damaged ships.

i dont understand why you need to set as main

you can repair all ships in the current port using the navy interface  (CROSSED ANCHORS)
click on ship
click repair
