Salty Dog Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 Here is a suggestion, why not reuse the old Connie model and just rename it USS Chesapeake? I think it would be a good reuse of the model and basically add another ship to the game. It would be historically accurate (half sister ship to the connie) because the ships would look similar.
Guest Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 I swear the first time i read this, I thought you were asking for the ship to be named the "USS Cheapskate". lol Funny the tricks the eyes play on us.
Hullabaloo Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 lol I read cheapskate too, which is ironic seeing as the post about sticking an extra couple of bow chasers on a ship and pretending it's a new ship :)
Cecil Selous Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 President and United States were the sister ships of the Constitution. Like Lieste said, the Chesapeake was a smaller 38 gun frigate. Speaking of the Leda class. We could actually use the Trincomalee, alter her a bit (don't actually know which cosmetic changes) and name her HMS Shannon.

Nelsons Barrel Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 A change I would like to see as it prevents all confusion of having the same ship twice in. Put one of the old skins on it and we are fine. 1

Ew, not many would want to sail her then . If wiki can be trusted, then Shannon was build before the other ships of the Cydnus variant.
