Avoid Sabicu, Oak, or Caguarian anything (its a shame that we have 3 useless wood types in NA [don't fall into the trap that so many players do: "but its almost as good as ___" NO! "almost" is never good enough--there is no substitute for proper shipbuilds]),

I don't have access to WO or LO anymore.  I made a couple of my heavier ships cag/sab, since it's available.  They're all just going to end up sinking anyway, whatever they're made out of, and it won't be the ship's fault.  Fortunately I brought a mountain of teak and over 20 redeemable ships from Global.  ;D

I wish there was a comprehensive guide to application of mods/knowledge/builds and the "meta" of builds - I have no idea what you're referring to, or why a lot of other ships or mods suddenly boom or wane in popularity...or for that matter why I get curbstomped so badly all the time.  🤔

There is no comprehensive meta, it's use the ship everbodies using because in NA's case if a ship has no redeeming qualities, it won't be touched.
Basically you choose 2-3 aspects to build on, combinations like speed and boarding, speed and firepower, speed and tank you don't see very often because their mods directly compete, but tank and turn isn't a bad one. But speed is king in most situations and that's why the meta is so thin, 14+ knots of whatever the best ship is at the time because you won't catch the hunters with less unless you gank them.

I have the feeling you do coast guard duty ar your greenzone.

Besides the requins that are the ships you face ( not includes all the encyclopedias)

Add that those captains sailing for other nations capital ports are not new and are experienced.

Experienced captains know....

  •  when to run
  • how to run
  • when to enagage
  • how to engage

And the most crucial part is to make the victim feel safe. An equal BR or equal ship fight doesnt mean its a fair fight.

Pro vs Pro fights are so boring because in most cases its easy to predict the next move and to counter it leading to no solutions when its not patrol RoE (no running)

Thats why I sail on the ow to distant places where any ship that has guns is good enough. I might take time it might take longer but in the end its much more enjoyable for me.

We don't have a zone, but I will help chase lurking baddies around if I can...even if just running around in a Lynx to keep eyes on them.

The WASA in her current state whould be an excellent DLC ship. She is not OP 😉.

This is true! xD

If it is not going to become a DLC though, then I think dropping it down to 4. rate in game would help a lot. Maybe also give it a minor speed buff so it is more sustainable as a solo hunting ship would make it an instant hit and something worth PvP marks.

Wasa was first ship i captured in PvP my only issue is i dislike her look but you know what they say beauty in eye of beholder
