You know devs... maybe it helps to listen to your customers instead of closing the topic... if a ship you pay 25 pvp marks that you worked hard for and an infa as escort can be sunk by a herc somebody paid $ for its pay to win that simple. And its one thing you said you would not do... and since I quit the game because of that I dont care but I think you need to know that you kill the game with those DLC / p2w ships its that simple!

P2W it would be if ship was that better but in your case 25 PvP marks gets you connie or LGV refit both ships better than herc its just that Herc player knew how too engage bigger ship no p2w here.

You got the ship for marks, he bought access to his ship, 1 per day. As far as I'm concerned you're benefiting from nearly the same system of free ships.
Do you think that if you were in a trinc or a belle poule you would've faired any better? Money doesn't buy skill.

Or maybe the herc is just that good, idk. I've only fought a handful and they were just as much so to say the least.

Why not tell the full story.

You were in an LGV refit (paid gor with pvp marks) and also had  an idef in fleet!

You faced 1 pirate in a Herc. (Normal mods fitted. No cart, no copper etc).

You fought very badly all the while insulting and swearing at the (feelings hurt) pirate.

Luckily it was all screen shotted. 😁

This was not a gank and it was not the DLC, it was a player becoming emotional over losing a more, than fair fight.

After steaming the 'F' words you then left the battle instance which forced your indef to surrender even though it was not engaged.

Still no hard feelings here and BLACK thank you for your contribution to our repairs pile.

Proof of above can be posted if you so wish.

I’m pretty sure ther isn’t any alternates for either ship currently in game with close to the same stats that can be built.  As for epics  we only ever had one ship note drop that wasn’t able to crafter and it was a rattlesnake in a 4th rate epic.  Epic chest should go to every one that survives the mission not hope that ship doesn’t sink and you have to split it 6 ways.  Just make it a redeemable after the mission is done.  Keep the nine silve/gold ships as loot prize.

there honestly needs to be a mission to get these solo too for those that can’t get 6 players together.  Last few epics we did we lost 1-2 first rates (never lost a ship in the 4th). So the cost was more than the prize cause the stupid epic chest ship turned up wind and sunk.  Ever try to go up wind in a first rate?  Every time I got close the battle win shift and put it right back up wind from me.  

Sonooint is I really hope y’all are updating these missions and rewards or this next patch that might come out next year.

Excuse me, LE REQUIN is P2W. If u put best upgrades on another ship of 6th rate, I can not match him, 

* He can engage/disengage me anytime

* I can not match it's broadside power, it is the strongest

* It can board me anytime, it has double crew. 

* My lovely magic DETERMINED DEFENDER is useless against him. 

* Even I hurt him badly, it can run away anytime

* If I call ai reinforcement, this makes him laugh
